Al Sharpton says fight for justice continues in Ferguson …

The Rev. Al Sharpton addressed a packed St. Louis church Sunday, saying Officer Darren Wilsons resignation from his job was a distraction from the Brown familys quest for justice.

Michael Browns parents joined the audience of around 3,000 at the Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist, singing, stomping and praying for spiritual guidance as they wrestle with a grand jurys decision to not indict Wilson for killing the unarmed teen.

You can't heal leaving the injured out of the process ... The afflicted is the family that remains, Sharpton said, alluding to the outrage at the legal process.

On Saturday Wilsons decision to resign from the Ferguson police force dominated headlines, which didnt sit well with Sharpton.

It wasn't about Darren Wilsons job, it was about Michael Browns justice, Sharpton said as churchgoers consoled Browns parents, Michael Brown Sr. and Lesley McSpadden, who sat on opposite sides of the church.

The fiery civil rights advocate also addressed St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch, who came under withering criticism for his unorthodox approach to the grand jury process.

We lost our round, but the fight is not over. You won the first round, Mr. Prosecutor, but don't take your gloves off, Sharpton said, comparing the anger in Ferguson to previous generations fight for civil rights rooted in Montgomery, Ala.
