Parents of Michael Brown Jr. to meet with Rev. Al Sharpton …

The legal fight may over in Ferguson, Mo., but the war of words has just begun.

The family of slain teen Michael Brown Jr. and the Rev. Al Sharpton will hold a joint press conference Tuesday in Ferguson, Mo., one day after a St. Louis grand jury chose not to indict Police Officer Darren Wilson in the Aug. 9 shooting.

St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch announced the decision late Monday, which set off a multistate wave of protest and drew the ire of Brown's mother, Lesley McSpadden, and dad, Michael Brown Sr.

"We are profoundly disappointed that the killer of our child will not face the consequence of his actions," Brown's parents said in a statement released by attorney Benjamin Crump, Esq. "While we understand that many others share our pain, we ask that you channel your frustration in ways that will make a positive change. We need to work together to fix the system that allowed this to happen."

Sharpton made a striking statement of his own, watching the grand jury decision with the family of Staten Island NYPD chokehold victim Eric Garner. In a statement after the decision was unveiled, Sharpton took aim at McCulloch.

"We said from the beginning we had little or no confidence in this local prosecutor," Sharpton said. "We can lose a round, but the fight is not over."

Brown's parents want officers to wear body cameras and they plan to launch a campaign with the goal of getting cops on the streets using cameras to capture their interaction with the public. Video would have shed light on the deadly confrontation between Wilson and the teen.

"Join with us in our campaign to ensure that every police officer working the streets in this country wears a body camera," the family said.

Wilson, who has been on paid leave since the incident and recently married, also released a statement.
