The Rev. Al Sharpton emphatically stated that the lack of diversity in (the new) Oscar nominations is appalling ... . Does the reverend watch football and basketball games? Talk about a lack of diversity!

Be careful what you wish for, Al. You want more black Oscar nominations? Fine, then how about starting more white football and basketball players?

Get real, Al! Whether it is a starting position on a sports team, an Oscar nomination or a job, the Oscar should go to the most talented, regardless of race, color or creed! The late Martin Luther King Jr. did not dream of more Oscar nominations, Al; he had a dream where people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character! And the Oscar goes to ... .
