Anyone who has a passing familiarity with Al Sharpton knows hes not exactly the best at reading the prompter. Its kind of a recurring thing for him.
So after Ted Cruz decided on a redo halfway through his State of the Union, Sharpton couldnt exactly mock him too much for that. So, to his credit, he empathized with Cruz and said, Dont worry, senator, trust me. It happens. We all know Ive had my share of prompter issues.
Sharpton played a clip of SNL mocking him before offering Cruz some teleprompter tips.
He could not, however, resist taking a few shots at Cruz over the facts of his comments.
