With racial tensions high and parts of the city still smoldering, the last thing the Ferguson police department needs is another scandal. With many protesters and outside observers already mistrusting of Ferguson police, claims that the department has ties to racist organizations have spread all too easily.
Last week Anonymous, that mysterious, decentralized, and infamous collection of online agitators, accused some Ferguson police officers of having ties to the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).
The recent riots in Ferguson began on Monday just after a grand jury declined to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. Wilson, who is white, shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was black, on August 9. The shooting ignited protests in Ferguson and surrounding communities, and even sparked debate across the U.S. about the continued militarization of the countrys police.
Anonymous released a YouTube video this week detailing its allegations. The proof is currently thin, consisting primarily of dubious sources and photos of KKK members at a rally for Wilson. The video states that the group will continue to search for possible connections.
Even with such thin support for the claim, the rumor that the KKK or similar organizations are involved in Ferguson is continuing to spread.
On Monday night the Flood christian Church, like many other buildings in and near Ferguson, was set on fire. Browns father, Michael Brown, Sr. was a member of the church. The churchs pastor, Carlton Lee, told NBC News that he believes white supremacists set the church on fire to punish him for his support of the Brown family.
Adding to these concerns. right-wing pundits this week have been criticizing Ferguson protesters and rioters and they havent been shying away from the race angle. Ann Coulter on Monday voiced concern for whites cowering in their homes, while Ted Nugent posted a Facebook rant that includes the phrases racist Czar, black klansmen, and gangsta assholes.

KKK in Ferguson? Anonymous Says Yes
That's quite a View she has there! Joy Behar sat down with Wendy Williams on Tuesday, Nov. 25, to discuss the recent changes at The View, as well as Bette Midler's comments about Ariana Grande.
Williams asked Behar whether she has plans to return to the ABC talk show where she served as a co-host for 16 years. "I don't know," Behar, 72, confessed. "I have sort of been there, done that. I don't know. I wouldn't go back for five days a week. I used to be on only three days a week and Barbara was on two days. That was a great system. Loved it."

She added that conflicting perspectives on the show were expected, and co-hosts "have to be willing to hear other people's positions." She also joked at one point that the early stages of her career were great preparation for her time on the ABC program from 1997 to 2013. "I worked in a mental hospital, which I always say prepared me for The View," Behar joked.

With that said, the comedienne admitted that there were two conservative ladies who tested her patience. "I like that little Republican over there. Nicole [Wallace]," Behar said of The View's newest co-host. "You know, I have dealt with Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Ann Coulter. This girl is like a day at the beach!"
Behar, who is currently starring on Broadway in a one-woman show called Me, My Mouth & I let her thoughts about Grande be known, too. Unlike her pal Bette Midler, who brushed off the "Problems" singer as "silly" and "ridiculous" on Monday, Nov. 24, Behar had a different perspective about today's pop stars using their sex appeal to sell records.
