Ann Coulter stepped into the ring to defend Wheel of Fortune hostPat Sajaks vitriolic tweet, in which he accused global warming alarmists of being unpatriotic racists.
Sajak, Coulter told CNNs Erin Burnett, was using humor to make a point about the way liberals treat conservatives who disagree with them.
We all have to believe in global warming, we all have to believe in immigration either lots of immigration or even more immigration, Coulter explained. We have to believe that Trayvon Martin was killed by a brutal racist, and if you dont you get called all of these crazy names that Sajak is referring to.
The worst thing and I think the most offensive is that global warming deniers comes from people who are Holocaust deniers, Coulter continued. You are calling half of the American people, who weirdly enough dont believe in the apocalyptic predictions that keep not coming true, equivalent to Holocaust deniers? Thats how the debate perceives them in America.
As to Sajaks claims that he was just kidding? Coulters not buying it:Im sure he doesnt believe in global warming, as I dont, and as a majority of Americans dont, she reassured Burnett.
The funny part, she explained, was him coming up with the arguments that are usually used against us [conservatives]. See? It was satire.
She then, without a hint of irony (and somewhat inexplicably), went on to explain that without fossil fuels, youre talking about entire genocides, because you need energy to live.
