Ann Coulter: Trump acting as if he wants to be impeached

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter isn't a fan of President Trump's team for negotiating an end to the partial government shutdown.

Comprised of Vice President Mike Pence, White House adviser and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Coulter tweeted this group is a recipe for Trump to end up "impeached."

Coulter's tweet Sunday came hours before the trio returned to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C., to continue negotiations with Democratic aides. Meanwhile Trump is at Camp David in Maryland, meeting with top staff about the border.

Adding to her Twitter broadside, Coulter said if "Kushner (Trump) trades DACA amnesty for a wall," there will be inevitable comparisons to British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's policy of appeasement to Nazi Germany.

The White House and Democratic aides have discussed a multitude of offers, including some protections for so-called Dreamers currently protected by the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and concessions on asylum policies.

The partial government shutdown is the result of Trump demanding more than $5 billion in funding for a barrier along the U.S.-Mexico border; Democrats, once again in control of the House, are not willing to give more than $1.3 billion in annual border funding.

Coulter has been one of the staunchest supporters of Trump's border wall pledge, which stems back to the 2016 campaign. But that support is double-edged, as the commentator often criticizes the president for not yet fulfilling his stated goal.

In a recent radio interview on "Mark Simone Show" on 710 WOR in New York, Coulter predicted Trump will "fold in the end" on a spending deal. That came after she told a Daily Caller podcast that without a wall, Trump's time in office will "just have been a joke presidency who scammed the American people, amused the populist for a while, but hell have no legacy whatsoever.

Trump has brushed off talk of impeachment in recent days, stirred up again by freshman Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib, arguing that, "You cant impeach somebody thats doing a great job."

The prospect of giving up on his wall has led to some dire warnings by key allies. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News last week that doing so would be the "end of his presidency" as he neglects the desires of his base, who have a voice in conservative commentators including Coulter, Fox News host Sean Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh.

But acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney denied that Trump can be swayed by the politicos of the Right. I've seen that I would make the argument that the president has probably more sway over Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter than vice versa," he said on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday.

Ann Coulter: Trump ‘Will Fold’ on Border Wall

Ann Coulter, perhaps the most vocal Trump supporter pushing for a wall on the southern border, said on Wednesday the president will cave on his demand for a wall.

In an interview with radio host Mark Simone, Coulter noted, the president and I have had a little tiff.

She continued: For one thing, he actually did shut down the government though dont worry, he will fold in the end.

Coulter decried the president last month after the senate passed a continuing resolution to stave off a government shutdown that didnt allocate funding for a border wall. Trump reversed course shortly after, re-upping his demand for a border wall and sending the government into a partial shutdown thats now on day 12.

Coulter added the one person who deserves the most credit of all for going ballistic when Trump caved on wall funding right before Christmas which I think we got him to take back is Matt Drudge. He was the one who put it up as the siren.

It just shows you how the media is so terrified of Drudge that they will not mention him, she said, adding the media would rather focus on Fox News. Fox was like three days behind the game.

He really does set the national agenda, as he did with this, Coulter added of Drudge.

At the end of the interview, she turned back to Trump: If he doesnt build the wall, the next president will be a Democrat.

Listen below the Coulter interview starts around the 23 minute mark.

Ann Coulter Tore Into Trump And He Went All Passive …

President Donald Trump may like to dish it out on Twitter, with seemingly no one immune from being attacked in one of his executive time tweetstorms.

But it seems as if the notoriously thin-skinned president cant exactly take it, if his reaction to controversial conservative pundit Ann Coulter calling him gutless for failing to deliver on his promise of constructing a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border is any indication.

According to the@TrumpsAlert Twitter account, which tracks Trump family activity on the social media platform, Trump either pettily unfollowed or blocked Coulter who up until now has been one of his staunchest supporters in the wake of her blog post.

Trump did not appear to make any public statement or social media post on Coulters criticism, however, or his decision to drop his following tally from 46 to 45.

Those followed by the president now include members of his family, administration and primetime hosts of Fox News, like Tucker Carlson, who caused controversy last week by claiming immigrants are making America dirtier.

Ann Coulter says Trump may have been scamming voters with …

Far-right commentator Ann Coulter insulted President Donald Trump on Wednesday over his inability to get his long-promised wall built along the southern border of the United States.

In an interview with the conservative Daily Caller, Coulterwho has previously called out Trump about the wallsaid she worried that the president might be missing his last shot to get his wall built, considering Democrats would soon control the House of Representatives.

"Either Trump never intended to build a wall and was scamming voters from the beginning or he hasnt the first idea in how to get it done and no interest in finding out," Coulter told The Daily Caller. "My prediction is his support will evaporate and Trump will very likely not finish his term and definitely not be elected to a second term."

The controversial Coulterauthor of the books In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!andResistance Is Futile!: How the Trump-Hating Left Lost Its Collective Mindhas often attacked Trump over not getting the wall done. Earlier this month, she tweeted in response to a Washington Post article about the wall: "Even a Washington Post reporter knows that not 1 inch of Trump's wall has been built. Does Trump think his supporters are dumber than a WaPo reporter?"

Trump, meanwhile, has insisted he'll get the wall built, even as Congress pushed forward legislation to fund the government despite the president threatening to shut it down over border wall funding.

"In our Country, so much money has been poured down the drain, for so many years, but when it comes to Border Security and the Military, the Democrats fight to the death. We won on the Military, which is being completely rebuilt. One way or the other, we will win on the Wall!" Trump tweeted earlier on Wednesday.

The White House had said it would look to redirect funds from elsewhere to build the wall, an idea Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosishot down quickly.

The House and Senate will not approve a wall from reprogrammed funds or anything else. It wont happen, Schumer said.

Coulter during a podcast interview with The Daily Caller earlier Wednesday said Trump's presidency would be "a joke" that will leave "no legacy whatsoever if the wall wasn't built."

Why would you [vote for him again]? the provocative author and columnist asked. To make sure, I dont know, Ivanka [Trump] and Jared [Kushner] can make money? That seems to be the main point of the presidency at this point.

Theyre about to have a country where no Republican will ever be elected president again, she added. Trump will just have been a joke presidency who scammed the American people, amused the populists for a while, but hell have no legacy whatsoever."
