Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter says marijuana is destroying the country.

She was speaking at Politicon, a nonpartisan political event over the weekend.

Coulter, who has a history of making very controversial -- and some might say offensive remarks went off when she was asked whether or not weed should be legal.

"You can legalize all the drugs you want when there isn't a welfare state. No marijuana makes people retarded, especially when they're young."

The debate started when Coulter's fellow panelist, Ana Kasparian brought up the racial differences between blacks and whites when it comes to marijuana charges.

Coulter pointed to a study that revealed black people are more likely to lie about their weed use than other races.

However, she didn't say who did the study or any information about the study to back up her claim. Meanwhile, Kasparian said no one should be prosecuted for marijuana possession calling it a waste of our resources.

Ann Coulter: Media Find Las Vegas Shooter’s Motive: He’s White!

Theres a remarkable number of dangling facts about Stephen Paddocks mass murder in Las Vegas, which the media have shown little inclination to investigate. Its almost as if theyre worried that too much investigation will ruin it.

For example:

Who was the woman shouting, YOURE ALL GOING TO DIE! right before the concert? Is any reporter interested in finding out? Probably a random crazy lady, but thats not typical pre-concert behavior.

Why is it taking so long to find out if anyone else went into Paddocks hotel room since he checked in last Thursday? Im perfectly prepared to accept that he was the only one who entered that room, but can we see the surveillance video?

The sum-total of the information we know about Marilou Danley, the woman whos been living with Paddock for years is the following:She was out of the country at the time of the attack. Shes not involved.

Paddock had apparently assembled an enormous arsenal of weapons. Did she know about it? Did he tell her why? Had his behavior changed recently? Why wasnt he with her on her trip? Had they broken up? And why did Paddock recently wire $100,000 to the Philippines?

Within hours of the first indictments in the Duke lacrosse case later, all thrown out the media was bristling with information about the players parents, the homes they grew up in, the ritziness of their neighborhoods, and the tuition at their Catholic high schools. Doesnt any reporter want to ask Danleyanything?

Do we know yet why Paddock broke two windows? What were his recent winnings or losses at gambling?

I dont know if any of this would change the basic narrative. But the media dont know, either, and they seem strangely reluctant to ask. As Sherlock Holmes said: First, you exclude the impossible, and whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Our media isnt doing the reporting that would allow us to excludeanything. And then they wonder why conspiracy theories develop.

The medias idea of hard-hitting investigative reporting is to taunt gun-owners and white men. Making snarky political remarks is Job No. 1 of reporters. Apparently, its also the new job description for late-night comics. As long as were looking for jobs that Americans just wont do, maybe we could find some immigrants to tell jokes and report news.

Were getting a lot of smirky, celebratory headlines, like these:

AMERICAS WHITE MAN PROBLEM

HOW AMERICA HAS SILENTLY ACCEPTED THE RAGE OF WHITE MEN

THE WHITE PRIVILEGE OF THE LONE WOLF SHOOTER

While its great that liberals have finally found a mass murder that they dont think can be defeated with a Je Suis Charlie hashtag, theyre either lying or they dont know what theyre talking about. Blacks and Hispanics are extremely well-represented as perpetrators of mass shootings, Muslims are over-represented, and surprisingly, even the usually law-abiding Asians more than hold their own.

Typical Reporter:Yeah, we decided not to go with the mass shootings at the Tennessee church, the Washington Navy Yard, San Bernardino, the Pulse nightclub, Fort Hood, the LIRR, the Carson City IHOP, the Trolley Square Shopping Mall, the Windy City Core Supply warehouse, Virginia Tech, the Binghamton Civic Center, the Hartford Distributors, the hunting tract in Wisconsin, the Appalachian School of Law and on and on and on.

And those are just a few of the famous ones! Its hard to notice whats not there, so its especially annoying that the journalists method of illustrating mass murderers is to assemble pictures of all the mass shooters, but then only show the white guys.

There was one characteristic of white men in abundant evidence at the Las Vegas massacre. Theyre awfully chivalrous, these white male country music fans. Twenty-two thousand people came under sustained, high-powered gunfire and few people, if any, were stomped to death something you cant say for a Black Friday sale at a Long Island mall.

At the Las Vegas concert, men died protecting women, using their bodies as shields and standing up in the middle of gunfire to direct the women to safety. The New York Post reports that one woman said she was running away and a couple of guys said, Hey, come stand behind us, and boom, they went down. Heather Melton has described how she felt her husband, Sonny, being shot in the back, fatally, as he shielded her from the rain of bullets.

Without many facts to go on, the only sweeping conclusion we can make so far is that theres a reason feminism didnt emerge from the country music community.

Ann Coulter responds to Trumps decision on Obamas Dream Act …

Sep 5, 2017 7:38 pm

In a series of tweets from her official social media account Tuesday, immigration hawk Ann Coulter registered her disappointment with the decision made by President Trump on the DREAM act, an amnesty program for children brought into the country illegally.

Thats great. Sarah Huckabee Sanders says Trump wants COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM! she tweeted about the White House Press briefing after the decision was announced. Exactly what he used to denounce.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued the official policy of the Trump administration Tuesday. While he indicated that Trump would rescind the memo issued by former President Obama implementation the DACA program, he also said it would be delayed for six months.

Trump indicated that Congress would be given a chance to pass a bill enabling DACA, which stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, to continue.

Coulter appeared to respond angrily to the clarification by White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders that the administration preferred a comprehensive bill to address immigration rather than a standalone implementation of DACA.

Weird how Huckabee Sanders obsessively attacks congress, she noted. Trumps not going to get out of betraying voters on the wall by blaming congress.

She tweeted with a healthy dose of acerbic sarcasm.

Trumps decision was also slammed by the left, but for opposite reasons. Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said the decision was cowardly and praised the DREAMers for their patriotism. Former President Obama also excoriated the decision in a long Facebook post issued Tuesday.

Steve Bannon, Ann Coulter, Milo Yiannopoulos invited to Berkeley’s ‘free speech week’ – Washington Examiner

Conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, author Ann Coulter, and recently ousted White House chief strategist Steve Bannon were invited to speak during UC Berkeley's "free speech week."

The three were invited by a student organization called the Berkeley Patriot to speak during the Sept. 24-27 event on campus. Yiannopoulos and Coulter both had scheduled speeches earlier this year that were canceled due to violent protests.

UC spokesman Dan Mogulof told the East Bay Times that Berkeley Patriot organizers "have been good collaborators and attentive to policy."

While Yiannopoulos and Coulter have confirmed their attendance, Bannon has not, according to the Sacramento Bee.

In a statement that was sent to students Wednesday, University Chancellor Carol Christ reiterated the campuses commitment to free speech as a core of the academic institution.

"The university has the responsibility to provide safety and security for its community and guests, and we will invest the necessary resources to achieve that goal," Christ said.

"If you choose to protest, do so peacefully. That is your right, and we will defend it with vigor. We will not tolerate violence, and we will hold anyone accountable who engages in it."

Yiannopoulous shared the chancellors letter on his Facebook page Wednesday while adding: "What a difference six months make! Let's hope Berkeley sticks to this commitment to free expression."

Mogulof told the East Bay Times that the school gets "a lot of requests" to deny the clubs the right to invite the controversial speakers.

"It is absolutely clear that it is first and foremost, a matter of law that groups have an undeniable right to bring speakers of their choice, given their legal autonomy. At UC, registered student organizations are separate legal entities from the campus. It's not the university bringing these groups to campus," Mogulof said.

Ann Coulter, Milo Yiannopoulos, Stephen Bannon Are Invited to Speak at UC-Berkeley – The Chronicle of Higher Education (blog)

A set of conservative firebrands, including Ann Coulter, Milo Yiannopoulos and the former Breitbart News executive and White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon have been invited to speak this September at the University of California at Berkeley.

The university is known as the birthplace of the free-speech movement on college campuses, and in recent months has seen violence erupt over speakers slated to appear there.

Dan Mogulof, a spokesman for the university, confirmed to The Chronicleon Wednesday evening that a student group, California Patriot, had invited the speakers for a series of events set to take place on the campus from September 24 to 27. Messages to the event organizer identified by Mr. Mogulof werent immediately returned on Wednesday afternoon. Carol Christ, the universitys new chancellor, also said in a statement on Wednesdaythat Mr. Yiannopoulos has been invited to speak on campus.

The university has the responsibility to provide safety and security for its community and guests, and we will invest the necessary resources to achieve that goal, she said in her statement. If you choose to protest, do so peacefully. That is your right, and we will defend it with vigor. We will not tolerate violence, and we will hold anyone accountable who engages in it.

Asked if the university was worried given the outbreak of violence that has emerged around recent rallies and demonstrations, Mr. Mogulof said yes. He added that it was important that the university host the event, though he said it would be deeply upsetting for some people.

Two of the speakers, Mr. Yiannopoulos and Ms. Coulter, had previously been scheduled to speak at the campus this year. But the event featuring Mr. Yiannopoulos,in February, was canceled after protests of the event turned violent. And Ms. Coultersplanned speechwas called off over safety concerns.

In the wake of the deadly violence in Charlottesville, Va. this month, at least four universities have refused to host the white nationalist Richard B. Spencer, citing security risks.
