Ann Coulter: Peace Through Border Control – Breitbart News

But then the Emperor God gave a magnificent speech in Arizona Tuesday night. Curiously, when he talks to voters as opposed to his Cabinet and White House staff theres very little about sending more U.S. troops to die in the human meat-grinder of Afghanistan.

Trump got thunderous applause from his 30,000-person focus group for the wall, stepped-up deportations and Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio recently convicted of contempt for racially profiling Hispanics. But you could hear a pin drop when he mentioned Afghanistan, Nikki Haley and Gen. John Kelly. (At least he had the good sense not to bring up Goldman Sachs Gary Cohn again.)

There were long faces all over cable news after Trumps speech, which surely triggers the reward center in his brain, like giving a mouse cheese.

What was so refreshingly different about the Trump campaign was that the candidate didnt use any of the idiotic, consultant-written bromides offered by every other GOP presidential candidate for at least the past 30 years. Instead, he looked around the country, saw what the problems were and said hed fix them.

Here are the highlights from every speech by any Non-Trump candidate for the past several decades:

I listened to the American people.

People are frustrated.

This election is about the future!

It may not seem like it at first, but another one of those head-scratching cliches is: Peace through strength. During the campaign, this was a staple of knuckleheads like Jeb!, but Im sorry to report that our hero used it on the Arizona crowd, referring to his decision to send more troops to die in Afghanistan for no earthly purpose. The Swamp is sticky.

When Reagan said, peace through strength, it meant something. But 30 years after Reagan won the Cold War, anyone who uses this expression conveys only that he has no understanding of the current war.

During the Cold War, America was facing an aggressively imperialistic, nuclear-armed Soviet Union. By contrast, the main threat to Americans safety today comes not from a country, but from millions of individual savages spread throughout the globe.

Americans arent being slaughtered by invading Soviet troops, Red Dawn-style, but by Islamic terrorists on tourist visas flying commercial airplanes into our skyscrapers, and by first- and second-generation Muslim immigrants setting off bombs and shooting people at the Boston Marathon, American military bases, community centers, and gay nightclubs.

Americans are raped, addicted, and murdered not by the Red Army, but by millions of illegal aliens waltzing across our wide-open border.

Our freedoms are being taken away not by a foreign power, but by our own government in order to protect us from terrorists, international crime rings, and Mexican drug cartels operating in our own country.

Defeating a non-country adversary may seem an impossible task, but the savages are perfectly containable. Todays enemy has no capacity to harm a hair on a single Americans head as long as we dont let them come here.

We dont need a military victory. We need an immigration moratorium.

The Non-Trump Republicans promised us only more immigration and more wars. PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH!

How does a military buildup help Kate Steinle? How about the 3,000 Americans killed on 9/11? Did Obamas escalation of the war in Afghanistan protect soldiers at Fort Hood or nightclubbers in Orlando? Did it do anything for Grant Ronnebeck, who was fatally shot by an illegal alien robbing a convenience store in Mesa, Arizona, in 2015?

More than 1,600 American troops died in Afghanistan under Obama, and not one American is safer.

All we need to do to win the current war is: Keep our nuclear weapons in working order and stop allowing enemy forces into our country. If we must have troops constantly deployed somewhere, the only place theyd actually be useful is 10 feet into Mexico. (Let a court try to stop that!)

During the campaign, Little Marco dismissed as unrealistic Trumps proposed temporary suspension of Muslim immigration to our country including the more than 2 million Muslims weve taken in just since 9/11. Instead, Rubio proposed we do something achievable, like remake the entire Middle East with wars in Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Afghanistan.

Trump, and only Trump, promised to put our country first and protect our interests when it came to immigration and foreign wars. He didnt care that political correctness dictated putting Americas interests dead last.

But since becoming president, instead of draining the swamp, the swamp seems to have drained Trump. His agenda has been drowned out by the agenda of Washingtons Uni-Party.

Thats why all we ever hear about is tax cuts and war (unless Trump is speaking to one of his 30,000-person focus groups).

Rather than actually being like Reagan and winning the war were in, Trump has decided to continue Obamas unconstitutional executive amnesty opposition to which gave the GOP stunning victories in 2014 and 2016. This week, he grabbed the hot poker of Afghanistan, allowing ecstatic Democrats to scratch that disaster off Obamas Greatest Hits list. Now, its Trumps war.

I dont know why Trump would surround himself with people who oppose his agenda, but on Tuesday night he heard again from the people who see him as our countrys last hope. He should listen to them.

Please, not Ann Coulter – The Star Democrat

I, too, appreciate the Star Democrats presenting columnists of opposing viewpoints. I want to hear what both the right and the left have to say. How else can we come to agree on issues?

But please, not Ann Coulter. Her over-long Aug. 14 piece was an undisciplined rant full of graceless invective. I agree that the media pay too much attention to the presidential tweet and not enough to what Congress is doing, or undoing, on our behalf. Ms. Coulter could have made up for the failure of the media by explaining whats in the bill in plain language, with relevant statistics. Instead, she writes of often specious family ties and idiotic family reunification laws. Mean, sloppy writing.

She didnt do her homework not even long ago in English class when she was supposed to learn verb moods and tenses, such as how you use the conditional tense (I, you, he, she, it would) in a clause following an if clause of condition contrary to fact in which the verb takes the subjunctive mood. Ms. Coulter wants her idol, President Trump, to talk about the RAISE Act and nothing else. Great idea! Lets hear all about it! So she writes, If he were smart, hed [he would] talk about nothing else. In her last line the punch line she inadvertently implied that her idol is not smart.

I hope for her sake the president doesnt read her column.

She should have written, If hes smart, he will talk about nothing else. But maybe the fact is that shes thinking, like much of humankind these days, that President Trump is not so smart.

One more thing this is too delicious. Next to Coulters website, she is quoted as saying, I love to engage in repartee with people who are stupider than I am.

Reader, she called herself stupid. Star Democrat, my newspaper of record, spare me the work of stupid pundits. This is fun, but in the weeks and months to come, we need earnest columnists sincere in their zeal to help us learn from the heartbreak of Charlottesville. And we need someone who can sort out the RAISE Act.

Ann Coulter: ‘The media is running the staffing at the White House now’ – Washington Examiner

President Trump is allowing his "little tiny ego" to get in the way of White House staffing decisions, according to conservative commentator Ann Coulter.

"I'm ticked off at the Emperor God," Coulter told the Daily Beast, referring to Trump.

After White House strategist Steve Bannon's firing Friday, Coulter is warning Trump that he now must show "he didn't get the good ideas from Bannon" by putting the "pedal-to-the-metal on deportations, the wall, that tax hike on people who make more than $5 million a year."

Coulter, who has mostly been a staunch supporter of Trump's, also dinged the president for being "obsessed" over people giving Bannon credit for the 2016 election victory.

"Every time he's asked about Bannon, the Emperor God goes, He didn't win it for me! He only came in August! I already wrapped up the nomination!' You don't have to be a very sensitive person capable of reading body language to understand that Trump is obsessed by that. It's driven him crazy," she said.

"We all know that [Jared] Kushner is the one who won the White House for him," Coulter added, also giving credit to interim communications director Hope Hicks and former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski for Trump's political success.

Coulter suggested that the media manipulated Trump into firing Bannon by putting the former chief strategist on the covers of magazines and by the way he was portrayed on "Saturday Night Live."

"All you have to do with whatever White House staffer the media would like to get fired just put him on the cover of a magazine and call him President Whatever the Guy's Last Name Is.' It's not good to show the media that you are so easily manipulable The media is running the staffing at the White House now," Coulter said.

During his Tuesday press briefing, Trump appeared to defend white supremacistand neo-Nazi groups protesting the removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee in Charlottesville.

"George Washington was a slave owner. Was George Washington a slave owner? So, will George Washington now lose his status?" Trump said Tuesday. "Are we going to take down ... statues to George Washington?"

Trump made the remark in a heated news conference, in which he defended himself against bipartisan criticism that he was too slow and equivocal in condemning white supremacistgroups for inciting violence during the Charlottesville protests.

In that press conference, the president sparred with reporters and criticized the "alt-left" for being "very, very violent" in confronting white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups.

She canceled her appearance after losing the support of an on-campus sponsor.Michael TranFilmMagic

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter has cancelled her plans to deliver an outdoor address at U.C. Berkeley after losing support from the campus group that had sponsored her speaking engagement.

Coulter had initially been scheduled to address the campus on Thursday on the invitation of college Republicans, but university administrators were forced to cancel her appearance due to security concerns. Administrators later offered to reschedule Coulters appearance after facing widespread criticism and a lawsuit for curtailing free speech on campus. But Coulter, undeterred, vowed to appear on the original date anyway.

On Wednesday, however, the Young Americas Foundation, the group supporting her continued fight to appear on campus, said it would no longer be involved in her case due to a lack of assurances for protections from foreseeable violence, according to The Daily Californian, the college newspaper. The group's withdrawal forced Coulter to call off her appearance.

They want to destroy and squelch free speech, Coulter told Sean Hannity during an appearance on Fox News . All of the people who should have been standing up for the First Amendment here all ran away with their tails between their legs.

Berkeley has recently become the center of violent clashes between local groups. The university had prepared to call up hundreds of police officers to provide security for Coulters appearance, fearing it would be met by an outbreak of violence similar to the riots that occurred during former Breitbart News writer Milo Yiannopouloss campus visit in February. As the New York Times reports , Outside groups representing the far left and far right have clashed in the city several times over the past few months in a fight club atmosphere that university administrators say they have not seen in many years, if ever.

Berkeleys historic role as the center of the free speech movement has been widely remarked upon amid the controversy surrounding both Yiannopouloss and Coulters appearances. Beginning in 1964, students began engaging in peaceful sit-ins and protests to defend free expression on campus, but demonstrations turned violent in the following years as students began protesting the Vietnam War; hundreds of students were arrested during that period. Particularly in light of this history, the university has underscored its responsibility to protect the safety of campus speakers, and administrators cited very specific intelligence of threats to both the speaker and students.

The university has two non-negotiable commitments, one to Free Speech the other to the safety of our campus community, U.C. Berkeley Chancellor Nicholas Dirks wrote in a letter to the campus.

Dirks defended the universitys position in an op-ed in the New York Times today, writing, the far right accuses us of indoctrinating students into what they call a mind-set of political correctness. The far left accuses us of allowing the promotion of ideas, such as intolerance and exclusion, which are at substantive odds with the inclusive principles of the campus community...Free speech may be the new clarion call of the far right, but the real subtext of those who try to disrupt institutions built on principles of openness and inclusion with violence is only barely disguised. Berkeleys status as a symbol of free speech and protest makes it a tempting site for the staging of physical confrontations between both sides.

While Coulter will not be officially speaking at Berkeley on Thursday, she hinted that she may turn up on campus regardless. In an email to the Associated Press , she wrote , I have my flights, so I thought I might stroll around the graveyard of the First Amendment.
