Call of Duty Vanguard pros fighting a war to save Auto Tac Sprint – Dexerto

One Call of Duty: Vanguard setting has the entire competitive community in disarray. While casuals and Warzone pros use Auto Tac Sprint, CDL and Challenger pros are arguing about its ban.

Auto Tac Sprint (or, as its more typically known, ATS) was introduced with Modern Warfare 2019 and immediately became a point of debate in the Call of Duty League. In the inaugural season, the setting was banned by players, but, two years later, its up for discussion again.

Essentially, the MW engine which Vanguard is also built on allows for slide-canceling movement mechanics that are much easier with ATS enabled. Using ATS makes maintaining maximum speed a lot easier on the hands and controller, but some pros think its too easy.

While ATS isnt part of the CDLs initial ruleset, its become a divisive topic among pros Gentlemens Agreements (GAs). Apparently, Doug Censor Martin is now fighting a war to keep it from being banned.

On default PS4 settings without ATS, a player would need to double-tap the left stick to initiate Tac Sprint, then double-tap slide and press jump to slide cancel, then double-tap left stick again to continue tac sprinting. In doing so, youre able to constantly sprint at full speed since the slide cancel resets it.

With ATS enabled, all you have to do is hold forward on the left stick, slide cancel, and continue holding forward. It saves a bunch of extra clicks, making moving and finessing at top speeds a lot easier.

Somewhat understandably then, some like the setting. Like the Warzone scene, Censor wants CDL Challengers to allow ATS. Unfortunately, hes fighting a war against many pros who despise Tac Sprint generally.

The Atlanta FaZe are, until proven otherwise, the best team in Call of Duty. So it holds weight when their AR, Alec Arcitys Sanderson, takes to Twitter to roast ATS. The 2021 champ said he was so glad tac sprint is back.

In the replies, his speedy SMG teammates, Tyler aBeZy Pharris and Chris Simp Lehr both similarly mocked the setting. Simp dropped a big smiley face, while aBeZy added a so fun.

It should go without saying that if pros dont like Tac Sprint, theyre unlikely to enjoy a setting that makes it even easier to pull off. With just under two weeks until the first Challengers event, the time is ticking for Censor to convince his opposition that ATS shouldnt be banned.

Letter to the editor: Give your anti-sex censorship a break, Jake – theperrynews.com

To the editor:

Last night a meeting was held in Johnston, where parents challenged two books that teachers were using as part of the curriculum.

Following the meeting, Sen. Jake Chapman posted on Facebook that he intended to introduce a bill that would amend a section of the Iowa Code that deals with the distribution of obscene materials and that would make it a felony for teachers to use any book that meets the definition (for the record, none of the books in question would meet the standards that courts have followed).

A longtime teacher contacted me and asked me to post the letter below that they wrote in response to Sen. Chapman. The teacher has experience at every grade level and has an MA. They asked me to publish the letter anonymously so that they wouldnt face possible disciplinary action in their current district.

Randy RichardsonDes Moines-Dear Sen. Chapman,

Can you just . . . not?

I read 1984 by George Orwell in my high school literature class. Orwells telling of an authoritarian dystopia changed my life. Not because of the doublespeak or punitive enforcement of traditional values but because it was the first book that I read where there wasnt a happy ending. The hero (spoiler alert) didnt take down the state. Instead, he embraced it.

One of the scenes in the book tells how the two main characters, who were not allowed to be romantically involved by Big Brother, go to a field where they believe that they are away from Big Brothers prying eyes and make love. The book doesnt give any details, but after seeing your crusade on books with inappropriate content, I am convinced that 1984 would fall in that category if it isnt already at the top of the list.

Im not going to try to appeal to your logic or your ethics. Instead, Im going to try to appeal to your empathy if there is any remaining.

I dont know whether youve noticed, but teachers are not okay right now. We havent been for a while, but I sincerely believe were at a breaking point. Every year there is more and more put on the backs of schools, and every year we have taken it in stride. Last year we even changed everything on how we taught in an instant.

We did all this while you stripped us of our collective bargaining, ostracized us for teaching Critical Race Theory (which, by the way, is not actually happening) and paved the way for our state to bring in substandard charter schools run by corporate entities that pay teachers an average of 15% less than public school teachers.

You have beaten us senseless, but were still in the fight because the kids are worth it. I dont blame the teachers, bus drivers, associates and substitute teachers that have left in droves because we are not getting any support from our state legislature.

And now, instead of providing any help, your next big task is to burn books in the name of firing up your base. You have lobbed attack after attack when all were trying to do is teach our students to be decent human beings and prepare them for the next step.

So I ask you, as a tired teacher who needs a nap and in order to stop being labeled as Public Enemy Number One, I humbly ask you: Can you just . . . not?

Editors note: According to Sen. Chapmans Facebook post, These are teachers of Johnston School District who are defending the distribution of what I believe to be obscene material and what I believe to be in violation of state law. These are also our so called mandatory reporters. Our schools should be one of the safest environments, its for that reason I have legislation being drafted to create a new felony offense under Iowa Code 728. There will also be additional mechanisms to force prosecutions or allow civil remedies.

In another post, Chapman said, Parents are fed up with being dictated to by the left! From mask mandates to critical race theory to sexually explicit material being disseminated to students . . . enough is enough.

Wake Up: The Censorship Has Been Alive Forever. Its at Fever Pitch Today. – Book Riot

There are a lot of bad takes this week on the whys and hows of the growing firestorm of book challenges. Im not going to link to them, but the reality is this isnt new, media thats reporting on firsts for any area are behind the curve by months (thanks, death of local journalism), and no, its not school boards who are willy nilly banning books. These complaints are coming from grown adults who may or may not live in a community and more often than not, theyre aligned with right-wing groups funded by a lot of dark money. Moms of Liberty currently putting a bounty on teachers who talk about systemic racism is but one of many of such groups across the United States, typically spearheaded by a failed or hopeful politician. They share information across public and private social media tools (heres a great example of an extremist group gearing up their followers to at protest one school board meeting this week). These groups put board members in a position of being on the defense, and in many cases board members need to be escorted to their vehicles after a meeting because their literal safety is at risk.

Are there folks on the inside starting these censorship calls? Sure. But the vast majority are not, and in a not-insignificant number of cases lately, the adults who are complaining arent parents of students in the district.

Rather than offer any insights or clear up any misconceptions roaring around this weeks censorship news, Im just going to list them. In many ways, this is a really useful way to see just how widespread this issue is. Im going to miss many stories, and thats part of the point: its impossible to keep up. Note that this may be mostly not-great news, but there ARE some positive developments here.

As always, heres the tool kit for what you can do to combat censorship in your community and beyond. Spend an hour this weekend writing letters, planning a visit to your local school and library board meetings in support of intellectual freedom, and requesting books for and from your local library.

Something else to be aware of: the same groups that are pushing anti-antiracism with their anti-CRT movement that conveniently includes anyone who isnt straight, too, is going to start coming hard for mental health. Theyre already protesting social emotional learning, and the next logical step is the books that talk about mental health. (This is, of course, the same groups that complain students are miserable and why wont anyone help them. The fault lies, conveniently, in mask mandates or virtual learning or any other anti-science scapegoat).

Two more links before the mega list: a comic about some light book banning and George M. Johnson responds to their book being challenged and banned on MSNBC.

Lets end with something that feels like the right place to end. Malinda Lo, who took home the honor of National Book Award winner in this years category for Young Peoples Literature with her queer, Asian American historical novel Last Night at the Telegraph Club, shared a powerful message about censorship going on right now. The parallels to some of the discussions in her book to whats happening across the country with censorship are chilling:

Natalia Paris defied the censorship of Instagram with a picture without covering her chest and opened the networks – Persia Digest

Image from social media

Famous DJ Natalia Paris has once again turned social networks on through a photo she posted on her Instagram account, in which she invited her followers to visit her website where they can find her new book, as well as exclusive content for the businesswoman.

In the shot, the model is shown wearing a white blouse with one of her open breasts open and without a bra, defying Instagrams privileged censorship of content deemed explicit by the social networks algorithm. It is worth noting that Paris covered part of the nipple with a label in Spanish, censorship or censorship.

In addition to the shot, the artist announced the launch of her new book, which she described herself as: A collection of Erotic Photography Made with the best photographers in the country. A piece of art to collect, and according to her, it is available on her website http://www.nataliaparis.com.co.

Look here at a picture of Natalia Paris:

The post that was shared two days ago on the official profile of Natalia Paris on Instagram already has more than 152,250 copies, exceeds 16,600 likes and garnered about 160 comments, of which the artists beauty stands out with qualifiers such as Beautiful and Beautiful. precious.

I want one like this for Christmas, Beauty should never be restricted or censored, I love you, Why are men allowed to go shirtless naturally and women are forbidden, The most beautiful thing of the day is Natalia, Always beautiful , Do not change, every day is better, Book? What is Natalia planning, The most beautiful woman in Colombia , She has always been beautiful, blessed and abundant for her , Among other things.

It is worth noting that the artist topped the news on various occasions due to her statements about the Covid-19 virus, vaccination, and the various theories that she deals with in her life. One of them was when he asserted that young men became gay due to eating chicken, stating that the hormones injected into the animals and their subsequent human consumption affected sexual development.

Regarding these statements, Natalia Paris referred to this in an interview with Diva Rebeca, a character played by Omar Vazquez, where the DJ confirmed: Suddenly it was said wrong, but it has a lot to do with hormones, the truth is I still think so.

However, the case went further, after Antioqueas statements the interviewer laughedly stated that she had a slightly far-fetched theory, alluding to the fact that the food was of a different kind, alluding to the masculine male organ. With a term used in Spain.

On frequent occasions, Natalia Paris has been called stupid for her statements and tone of voice that characterizes the 48-year-old model, by users of social networks.

However, she recently made reference to the issue and strongly demanded that prejudices be put aside, through her Instagram Stories where she highlighted her accomplishments as a businesswoman with skincare products, as well as being a model, DJ and now with his book.

I know it was hard for a lot of people to think that women who are notoriously stupid are not able to do things well, The model noted and added, These are biases that we really should let go, because if we have a sophisticated, open mind, connected to abundance, we understand that. A woman is capable of many things.
