Ted Danson of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and his wife, actress Mary Steenburgen, have dropped $4.3 million on a beach-close house in Santa Monica.
Set on a walk-street, the quaint three-story house sits on a narrow 4,500-square-foot lot. Bay windows, French doors and corner fireplaces are among interior features.
A curving staircase leads to the second story while a floating-style staircase goes to the loft space on the top floor. The more than 4,000 square feet of living space includes living, dining and family rooms, four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Of note in the parking-tight area, theres a two-car garage. Views take in the waterfront.
Danson, 67, is also in the series Fargo. He gained fame as the amiable bartender with steely good looks on the 1980s sitcom Cheers and went on to star in such shows as Becker, Help Me Help You and Bored to Death.
Steenburgen, 62, won as Oscar for her supporting role in Melvin and Howard. She appears this year on Justified and will star in the film Dean.
Property records show the house has been used as a rental in recent years and last sold in 1985 for $275,000.
Credit goes toCelebrity Address Aerial for unearthing the transaction.
Debby Berg of John Aaroe Group was the listing agent. Annika MacPherson of Sothebys International Realty represented Danson and Steenburgen.
