George Zimmerman used racial slur in bar, police say – CBS …

George Zimmerman looks at jury as he testifies in a Seminole County courtroom on September 13, 2016 in Orlando, Fla.

Red Huber, AP

SANFORD, Fla. -- George Zimmerman yelled at a female employee, used racial slurs and was belligerent toward a deputy before he was removed from a bar in Sanford, according to the Seminole County Sheriffs Office.

CBS Orlando affiliate WKMG-TV says a deputy was originally called to the Corona Cigar Company Wednesday night for a possible incident of battery involving a woman in Zimmermans group, but while the deputy was in the back reviewing surveillance video with the manager, a disturbance erupted at the front of the bar.

The deputy found Zimmerman yelling at a waitress, according to the offense report. Zimmermans friends were attempting to calm him down.

The female employee told the deputy she was trying to collect the groups bill, but Zimmerman snatched the credit card from her hand and began yelling at her, deputies said.

The manager told the deputy the incident was one of several in which Zimmerman had been involved at the bar and he wanted to have him removed for trespassing, according to the offense report.

Before Zimmerman left the bar, he told the manager, I didnt know you were a (racial expletive) lover, deputies said. There were also reports of Zimmermans friends using racial slurs toward other customers throughout the night.

After informing Zimmerman that he had been trespassing, the deputy offered to investigate his earlier battery claim. Zimmerman demanded the deputys business card, but then refused to accept it, walked away and called 911 a few minutes later.

Zimmerman told the operator his name was John Doe and he needed to speak with a supervisor. A sergeant responded to the scene and spoke with Zimmerman.

The deputy once again offered to look into Zimmermans battery claim. This time Zimmerman told him another patron approached him and said Zimmerman, what are you doing here? the report said.

Zimmerman said he told the man to leave him alone, and Zimmerman said the man hit him twice on the shoulder, according to deputies.

Witness statements and surveillance video showed a different version of events, according to the report.

The man approached Zimmerman with an extended hand as if he is greeting Zimmerman, and attempting to shake his hand. Zimmerman ignored the gesture. When the man tapped Zimmerman on the arm, Zimmerman told the man not to touch him. The man replied I will do whatever I want, the report said.

The man had no ill will and there was no probable cause to press charges, the deputy wrote in his report.

After reviewing surveillance video and witness statements, the deputy tried to get Zimmerman to fill out a sworn voluntary statement form, but Zimmerman became belligerent and refused to accept it, the report said.

A friend stepped in to calm down Zimmerman. The deputy told Zimmermans friend how to fill out the form so he could relay the information to Zimmerman.

Zimmerman wrote his narrative on the wrong portion of the form, so the deputy asked him to fill it out again in the correct portion.

He wrote: I want to press charges. The narrative on the front is true and correct. Officer Nickell is an incompetent officer under qualified to flip burgers, according to the report.

Zimmerman told the officer he would remember him and that he planned to sue the Seminole County Sheriffs Office.

Zimmerman was acquitted of murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed teenager. His trial and acquittal sparked protests across the nation. He has been involved in several incidents since then.

George Zimmerman accused of using racial slur in Florida bar

SANFORD, Fla. (AP) Authorities say a sheriff's deputy ordered George Zimmerman to leave a central Florida bar after Zimmerman accused a black customer of hitting him and used a racial slur.

Citing an incident report, news outlets report the bar manager asked Seminole County deputies to remove Zimmerman on Wednesday because he yelled at a female employee, snatched a credit card from her and used a racial slur.

When deputies arrived, Zimmerman demanded that a black man be arrested for hitting him. Authorities say bar video shows the man had given Zimmerman two friendly pats on the arm. No one was arrested.

Zimmerman, who identifies as Hispanic, is the former neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted of second-degree murder after fatally shooting Trayvon Martin in 2012. Martin was an unarmed black teenager.

Zimmerman told The Associated Press in a text message that he'll have a comment later Friday.

An employee told deputies that Zimmerman ripped a credit card out of her hand when she was trying to collect a bill.

I didnt know you were a (racial expletive) lover he said as he was being left out, according to WKMG.

Zimmerman came to national attention when he shot and killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old, during his watchman patrol.

He claimed self-defense in a racially charged trial and was acquitted in 2013.

After Zimmerman was taken out of the cigar bar, he said that he had been assaulted by a black man inside.

Video of the incident showed the man saying hello and trying to shake his fellow bargoers hand before tapping Zimmerman on the shoulder twice when he refused, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Zimmerman has previously claimed that he was assaulted at Florida dining establishments, calling police in August and saying he had been punched in the face.

However, the owner of Gators Riverside Grille said that the confrontation was only a shoving match that started after Zimmerman bragged about killing Martin.

George Zimmerman called manager of Florida cigar bar ‘a n …

George Zimmerman was removed from a cigar bar in Florida after a confrontation in which he used a racial slur and yelled at a female employee, according to law enforcement officials.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office stated that the incident involving Zimmerman, the man who has been acquitted in the 2012 killing of an unarmed black 17-year-old boy, Trayvon Martin, took place Wednesday night at the Corona Cigar Company in Sanford.

A deputy was dispatched to the scene just after 11pm in response to a report about possible battery involving a woman named Amanda Horne, who was in Zimmerman's group of friends.

Foul language: Zimmerman was partying with friends at Corona Cigar Company in Sanford when he allegedly used a racial slur and yelled at a waitress

While the deputy was in the back reviewing surveillance footage, he heard a commotion at the front and found Zimmerman, 33, yelling at a waitress, according to an incident report cited by WFTV.

The woman explained to the deputy that she was trying to get Zimmerman's group to pay their bill when he snatched the credit card from her hand and began yelling at her.

The manager of the bar, Chip Brown, informed the deputy that Zimmerman had caused multiple disturbances at his establishment and he wanted the man escorted out.

Before he left, Zimmerman reportedly told the manager, 'I didnt know you were a [racial slur] lover,' the report stated.

Zimmermans friends also reportedly had been using racial epitaphs towards other bar patrons throughout the night, according to ClickOrlando.

A short time after Zimmerman walked away, he called 911, gave his name to an emergency dispatcher as 'John Doe' and asked to speak with a supervisor about an unrelated battery. A sergeant was sent to the bar to speak to the complainant.

The deputy who was initially called to scene offered Zimmerman to look into his battery complaint, to which he responded that another patron, a black man by the name Floyd Narcisse, came up to him saying, 'Zimmerman, what are you doing here?'

When Zimmerman asked Narcisseto leave him alone, he allegedly hit him twice on the shoulder,

However, surveillance video from inside the bar along with witness accounts painted a different picture of what had transpired.

The report stated that Narcissecame up to Zimmerman with an extended hand, in a gesture of greeting and as if attempting to shake Zimmermans hand.

Zimmerman ignored the man, who then tapped him twice on the arm. Zimmerman told Narcisse not to touch him, to which he replied, 'I will do whatever I want.'

The deputy concluded in the incident report that Narcisse had no ill will towards Zimmerman and there was no probable cause to charge him with any crime.

The deputy then tried to convince Zimmerman to fill out a sworn voluntary statement form, but the man allegedly 'became belligerent and refused to cooperate.

When Zimmerman finally relented, he wrote on the form that he wanted to press charges and described the deputy as incompetent and 'under qualified [sic] to flip burgers.'

Zimmerman then warned the officer that he would remember him and threatened to sue the Seminole County Sheriff's Office. The incident at the bar concluded with no arrests or injuries.

In the Trayvon Martin case, Zimmerman, a former Neighborhood Watch volunteer, claimed self-defense and was acquitted of charges in the shooting, a verdict that sparked protests and a national debate about race relations. Martin was black, and Zimmerman identifies as Hispanic.

Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has been involved in several altercations, including multiple domestic violence incidents involving different girlfriends.

In January 2015, Zimmerman was arrested for allegedly hurling a wine bottle at his girlfriends head as the two argued over a painting he wanted returned to him. Prosecutors ultimately opted not to file charges in that case.

In September, Matthew Apperson was found guilty of attempted murder for firing a gun at Zimmerman during a road-rage incident.
