George Zimmerman labeled psychopath by female victim …

Acquitted killer George Zimmerman threw a wine bottle at a woman and broke her phone during a late night row over a piece of art prompted by the woman threatening to break up with the notorious Florida man, police said.

The distraught woman, unnamed by Lake Mary police, told cops Zimmerman is a psychopath she regretted hooking up with, according to an arrest report released Monday by the suburban Orlando police agency.

Fridays arrest is Zimmermans latest foray into the spotlight after being acquitted in July 2013 of murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

The February 2012 shooting of the unarmed black teen in a gated Sanford, Fla., neighborhood prompted national protests. But a jury found the wannabe cop was justified in defending himself during a scuffle with the lanky, hoodie-wearing teen.

Last week, a cop on patrol heard glass break and saw the woman peel out of Zimmermans driveway just before midnight January 5 without her headlights on. The womans car was filled with her belongings, and police said she seemed very emotional and upset.

She advised that she had been in a verbal altercation over a painting, with George Zimmerman and that Zimmerman threw a bottle of wine in her direction when she attempted to leave, the offense report reads. ...Zimmerman threw the cell phone on the ground, breaking it.

Its unclear what art the two fought over, though Zimmerman himself has taken to painting, capitalizing on his notoriety by selling one piece for more than $100,000.

The woman told police she had been with Zimmerman for two to three months before incident but that he attempted to take their relationship further than she wanted.

She reiterated that she didnt want to get involved, police wrote in the statement. It was clear to me that (name redacted) intended to try avoid any type of association with Mr. Zimmerman that would possibly become public at a later time; even if that meant not being an advocated for herself as a potential domestic violence victim.

Police repeatedly tried to contact Zimmerman before finally spending 90 minutes Friday night knocking on his door and calling his cell phone.

ORLANDO, Fla. George Zimmerman became angry and threw a wine bottle at his ex-girlfriend when she tried to break up with him, according to a police report released Monday.

Zimmerman denied throwing the bottle and disputed her claim that he destroyed her cell phone last week, according to the report, which chronicles his latest run-in with police since he was acquitted of murdering Trayvon Martin in 2013. The killing of the unarmed black teen touched off protests across the country.

Instead, Zimmerman said, he was only trying to prevent her from entering his home.

The former neighborhood watch volunteer was arrested Friday in Lake Mary and charged with aggravated assault. He was released Saturday on $5,000 bond.

Zimmerman didn't respond to a message left on his cell phone Monday by The Associated Press.

Officers patrolling the neighborhood where Zimmerman lives last week heard the sound of glass shattering, and then saw the former girlfriend drive out of the driveway. They pulled her over for a traffic stop a few streets over because she didn't have her lights on.

She explained that Zimmerman became angry after she told him she didn't want to take the relationship further, and they also argued over a painting she had that he wanted returned. Zimmerman made threats and threw the wine bottle, which didn't hit her, she said.

Post Partisan: The George Zimmerman circus returns

Whenever the following words appear in a story George Zimmerman, arrested, domestic violence, weapons Im overcome with shock and oh, brother. Its a not again! shock that the killer of Trayvon Martin found himself posing for yet another mug shot. The Oh, brother pretty much explains itself when accompanied by an eye roll because anyone loosely paying attention to the circus that is Zimmermans life saw this coming by a mile. The this this time is the Friday arrest of Zimmerman. The lede of the Orlando Sentinel story sums it all up.

After allegedly throwing a bottle of wine at his girlfriend Monday, George Zimmerman spent 14 hours in jail this weekend and now faces aggravated assault charges and must surrender all his firearms, officials said.

Authorities found out what happened on Monday when they pulled over Zimmermans unidentified girlfriend for a routine traffic stop. According to a statement from Lake Mary (Fla.) Police spokeswoman Officer Bianca Gillett, The driver stated she was just involved in a domestic altercation with George Zimmerman. Zimmerman is out on bond. Hell appear in court on Feb. 17. He must surrender his firearms on Tuesday.

What makes this time different from all the others is that there is no dramatic 911 call to dissect. In September 2013, two months after Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder for killing the unarmed Trayvon with a single gunshot in the chest nearly three years ago, his now-ex-wife Shellie called the cops on him. She told the 911 dispatcher that Zimmerman was just threatening all of us with his firearm and had punched her father in the nose. Zimmerman wasnt arrested because neither Shellie nor her father pressed charges against him a decision Shellie told Katie Couric was motivated by her decision to keep herself out of jail.

Then, two months after that run-in, the police were called in November 2013 by Zimmermans girlfriend Samantha Scheibe. While on the line with 911, Scheibe yelled at Zimmerman, You just broke my glass table, you just broke my sunglasses, and you put your gun in my f face, and told me to get the f out! She later tells the dispatcher, He just pushed me out of my house and locked me out!

Evidence of Zimmermans messy life were there long before his fatal encounter with Trayvon. Heres how I catalogued what we already knew at the time of his second-degree murder trial.

In July 2005, he was arrested for resisting officer with violence. The neighborhood watch volunteer who wanted to be a cop got into a scuffle with cops questioning a friend for alleged underage drinking. The charges were reduced and then waived after he entered an alcohol education program. Then in August 2005, Zimmermans former fiance sought a restraining order against him because of domestic violence. Zimmerman sought a restraining order against her in return. Both were granted.

Zimmerman did that whole tit-for-tat thing with Scheibe by calling 911 because I just want everyone to know the truth. If people didnt know the truth about Zimmerman before, they do now. Hes a latter-day O.J. Simpson who is one misguided action away from getting the justice he successfully evaded. After this weekends events, its simply a matter of when.

George Zimmerman: Another breakup, another domestic violence call to police

George Zimmerman threw a wine bottle at a woman who had just dumped him and threw her phone to the ground in a dispute that led to his arrest Friday night, according to a police report.

He was jailed on an aggravated assault charge but is free on $5,000 bond.

Zimmerman told police that he did nothing wrong, according to an incident report. The woman threw the bottle at his garage because he refused to let her inside, he said. The phone was broken long before by her 5-year-old son, he claimed.

Lake Mary police on Monday released details about what led to his arrest.

The couple had lived together two to three months, according to the report. The woman, whose name was not released, told police they had met at work eight or nine months ago, that she needed a place to live and that he took her in.

Police got involved about 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, according to department paperwork, when an officer on patrol heard breaking glass then observed the girlfriend drive away without turning on her headlights.

When they pulled her over, she was extremely upset, according to the report, and her backseat was full of her clothes and other household belongings.

Zimmerman had thrown a wine bottle at her, she said, but had missed, and had broken her cell phone by throwing it to the ground, the report said.

The woman said they had argued over several things. She wanted to break up, she said, and he wanted her to return a painting .

Zimmerman, she told police, is a "psychopath," according to an incident report.

Zimmerman denies hurling wine bottle

Published: Monday, January 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Last Modified: Monday, January 12, 2015 at 11:19 p.m.

Calling George Zimmerman a psychopath, the Volusia County woman who got into an altercation with the 31-year-old Lake Mary resident last week told police their argument stemmed from a painting that Zimmerman wanted returned, according to an offense report.

But Zimmerman, 31, who gained national attention after fatally shooting an unarmed black teenager in 2012 and then being acquitted at trial, denied hurling a wine bottle at the woman. Zimmerman claimed that the woman threw the bottle against his garage door, according to the report released Monday by Lake Mary police.

Zimmerman, who has been released from jail, could not be reached Monday. His attorney Don West released a statement: The details in the police report are only part of the story and we are going to wait until we have the whole story before we assess the merits of this very serious charge.

The woman whose name and address were redacted from the report because she is a victim of domestic violence was pulled over by officers on patrol Jan. 5 after they heard glass breaking on Valley Wood Way. The woman was stopped because she was driving away from that street with her headlights turned off, reports state.

The woman told police that she and that psycho Zimmerman got into a fight that evening and that he threw a wine bottle at her as she was leaving his house on Valley Wood Way. The woman also said Zimmerman smashed her cellphone when he threw it on the ground. The woman said the bottle did not hit her, reports state.

Officers noted that the woman had clothes and blankets in the back seat of her car and that she was shaking, mad and crying. The woman said she should have known better than to get into a relationship with George, the report states, but said she had been living with him as a roommate.

She became involved with him at a time when she was emotionally vulnerable, the report states.

She told officers that she had been intimate with Zimmerman and had been living at his residence for the last two to three months; she also said Zimmerman wanted to take the relationship further and she did not.

When officers attempted to contact Zimmerman at his residence, there was no answer at the door even though they could hear a TV blaring and a dog barking inside.
