FALSE: George Zimmerman Found Dead – snopes.com

On 21 January 2016 the web siteAction News 3published an article titled George Zimmerman Found DEAD Months After Tweeting Pics Of Trayvon Martins Dead Body, claiming:

On January 21at 1:21 PM EST George Zimmerman was found dead in the backyard of his Florida home. Police say he was stabbed multiple times and had a gunshot wound to the head. A neighbor of Zimmerman said she heard a commotion, looked over the wall and saw him lifeless on the ground. Thats when she called 911.

The murder of George Zimmerman happened just months after his controversial September 2015 Twitter post spread across social media, angering many Trayvon supporters. Zimmerman retweeteda photo of Trayvon Martins lifeless body with criminal justice investigator standing above him. The original post was tweeted by one of the Zimmermans fans, praising him as a one-man army. Zimmerman, apparently flattered, retweeted the image.

The article concluded:

Police say, as of now, they have no leads in the murder of George Zimmerman. However, they are confident that his murder had everything to do with his postings on social media. Authorities say his constant bragging of the fact that he was acquitted of the murder of Trayvon Martin finally caught up to him. You can run if you want, said police chief Robert Gordon. But your wrongs will catch up to you eventually.

On 27 September 2015, Zimmerman indeed made headlines when he re-tweeted a photograph of the lifeless body of Trayvon Martin.Zimmerman shot and killed the teen in Sanford, Florida in February 2012, but was acquitted in July 2013 of a second-degree murder charge related to the shooting:

Zimmermans public image took another hit in August and September of 2015, when he got into a Twitter spat with a user who threatened to slap him and responded with the taunt We all know how it ended for the last moron that hit me. Give it a whirl cupcake (a none-too-subtle reference to the Trayvon Martin shooting).

That was nothing compared to the furor that erupted when a Twitter user named @SeriousSlav tweeted a photograph of Trayvon Martins dead body lying on the grass where Zimmerman had shot him, writing, Z-Man is a one man army and Zimmerman had the audacity to retweet it[.]

Zimmermans Twitter account was subsequently suspended, for reasons unrelated to the September 2015 controversy.

While the portion about Zimmermans social media activity was accurate, the claim that someone murdered him in January 2016 was not. Like many fake newsweb sites,Action News 3 bore nodisclaimer informing readers that its content was fabricated, and featured many visual elements suggesting it was a legitimate local news web site.

Karma: George Zimmerman’s Brother Fears Vigilantes Will Take Law Into Own Hands

Robert Zimmerman Jr. fears there will be individuals plotting retribution for the death of Trayvon Martin against his brother George.

Robert appeared in an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan to say his brother fears for his safety.

"We have always feared for his safety and our safety as a family," he said. "Clearly, he's a free man in the eyes of the court, but he's going to be looking around the shoulder for the rest of his life."

Robert fears vigilantes will seek their own form of justice.

"There are factions, there are groups, there are people who would want to take the law into their own hands as they perceive it or be vigilantes in some sense that they think justice was not served," Robert explained. "They won't respect the verdict no matter how it was reached. And they will always present a threat to George and his family."

The jury, comprised of six women, deliberated for more than 16 hours before finding George Zimmerman not guilty Saturday night.

Zimmerman and attorneys smiled after the verdict was read.

Martin left his father's fianc's home on a rainy Feb. 26 night to pick up...

George Zimmerman net worth: How rich is the criminal?

Nickname: George Michael Zimmerman

Date of birth: the 5th of October, 1983

Profession: insurance company worker, student

Nationality: United States of America

Source of wealth: crime

If you want to make the ends meet, you should start working immediately. But if you want to become a millionaire, you should come up with something different. For example, George Zimmerman committed a murder.

Currently George Zimmerman net worth is estimated at $1 million. Some sources publicize another amount $2 million. In fact, when George Zimmerman started his career, he had never thought about becoming a millionaire and a celebrity.

He was born in Manassas, Virginia and later moved to Lake Mary, Florida, where he served at an insurance company. At first Zimmerman seemed to be an ordinary American citizen he earned his living, studied at college and later got married.

George and his young wife Shellie Dean rented a house in Sanford, Florida. There George Zimmerman acted as the neighborhood watch coordinator. During one of his working shifts George killed the black-skinned teenager Trayvon Martin.

Two men had a conflict, and Zimmerman used his gun to solve it. After the fatal shot, Zimmerman was arrested, but later acquitted. The contradictory court process made Zimmerman a celebrity. And the skilful killer managed to monetize his fame.

Zimmermans friends created a website, where people, who wanted to support the defendant, donated money. It is hard to believe, but George got approximately $33, 000 of donation within one month only. Later the amount of supporting money increased to $150, 000.

George didnt consider the amount of his net worth final. He began to look for new ways of making money on his trial. He signed $2 million deal with a reputable publish house to write a book about that night, when he killed Martin and his emotions after that.

Who is George Zimmerman, and why did he shoot Trayvon …

ATLANTA

George Zimmerman, the 28-year-old former altar boy whose shooting of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teenager, has caused a national uproar, has withdrawn into seclusion. His lawyer says hes afraid for his life amid numerous death threats.

As Florida and federal investigators dig into the Feb. 26 shooting and the Sanford Police Department's decision to not charge Zimmerman with a crime, attempts to understand the shooting have focused on the extent to which Zimmerman's past experiences colored his decisions in the moments before Trayvon died.

Critics have called Zimmerman a racist vigilante who initiated a conflict with Trayvon largely because of a profile: A black man wearing a hoodie walking through a gated neighborhood. If the FBI finds evidence of this, Zimmerman could be charged with a federal hate crime.

A separate state investigation is slated to probe whether the state's Stand Your Ground law, the justification for not charging Zimmerman, was applied properly amid new evidence that suggests Zimmerman followed Trayvon and initiated an altercation where Trayvon got the upper hand.

Zimmerman's comments on a 911 tape from the night of the shooting that These [expletive] always get away, and speculation about whether he uttered a racial slur before following Trayvon on foot support the idea that Zimmerman's frustration with a crime wave in the Retreat at Twin Lakes had boiled over into vigilantism.

Zimmerman has contended that he was on his way back to his SUV after following Trayvon when he was attacked. Police found Zimmerman with a bloody nose and blood on the back of his head. His lawyer says Zimmerman's nose was broken.

At the very least, a series of 46 emergency calls made by Zimmerman over the past six years document a man vigilant about keeping his neighborhood safe and orderly. The calls include complaints about unruly people at the pool, potholes, dumped trash, and kids playing in the street. In recent months, as the neighborhood saw an uptick in crime, including burglaries and a shooting, Zimmerman's calls had focused on specific suspects, the majority of them young black men.

The newly released police calls paint Zimmerman as a man obsessed withlaw and order, with the minutiae of suburban life, and with black males, writes Mother Jones' Adam Weinstein.

But Zimmerman's family, his neighbors and his lawyer paint a different picture: That of a devoted neighbor, keen enough to protect the neighborhood that residents, in establishing a local Neighborhood Watch group last year, appointed him the captain. The organization was not registered with the national Neighborhood Watch program, but was set up with the assistance of the Sanford Police Department. Zimmerman initiated the program, according to Wendy Dorival, the department's volunteer coordinator.

Frank Taaffe, a neighbor, told CNN that Zimmerman "had a passion for the safety of our neighborhood and he demonstrated to the rest of us that one person could make a difference. And he was an average guy, just like me." In a separate interview, Mr. Taaffe told the Washington Post, George is a good dude. He cares about this community. Hes not a vigilante out looking for trouble."

Zimmerman grew up in Manassas, Va., the son of a white father and a Latina mother. He attended a Catholic church, where he was an altar boy. In high school, he was the victim of an assault. He moved to Florida a decade ago, writing in his high school yearbook, I'm going to Florida to work with my godfather who just bought a $1 million business.

In 2005, when he was 21, he was charged with assault on a police officer during an altercation over the arrest of one of his friends for underage drinking in a bar, but he chose a common route for first-time offenders: A pre-trial diversion that allowed him to escape a felony conviction. Such a conviction could have precluded him from having the permit that allowed him to carry the 9 mm gun used to shoot Trayvon.

"Mr. Zimmerman was not acting outside the legal boundaries of Florida Statute by carrying his weapon when this incident occurred," Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee said recently. "He was in fact on a personal errand in his vehicle when he observed Mr. Martin in the community and called the Sanford Police Department."

The chief has also said Zimmerman had no legal duty to heed a dispatcher's warning to stay put instead of following Trayvon on foot. (Chief Lee stepped down temporarily this week after receiving a no-confidence vote from the Sanford City Council over his handling of the case.)

Also in 2005, his then-fiance accused Zimmerman of domestic violence when she filed a court injunction against him. He responded with an injunction of his own. Their court battled ended when the injunctions expired in 2006.

Having worked in the past as a car salesman, Zimmerman became interested in becoming a police officer. In 2008, he attended a four-month course at the local sheriff's department.

In his application for the course, Zimmerman wrote: "I hold law enforcement officers in the highest regard and I hope to one day become one."

More recently, he was taking law enforcement courses at Seminole State College, where he had earlier studied to become an insurance agent. After the shooting, the college said it had taken the unusual but necessary step ... to withdraw Zimmerman from the campus, citing concerns about safety for Zimmerman and other students.

The fact that Zimmerman was known to local police has deepened suspicion that prosecutors overlooked key facts in determining that Zimmerman had a legitimate claim of self-defense under Florida's landmark Stand Your Ground law, which allows the use of deadly force and obviates any need by a citizen to retreat if they reasonably fear for their life.

"The reality is that this chief had probable cause to lock up a man who shot a boy in cold blood because he shot a boy in cold blood and he failed to do that," NAACP President Ben Jealous said this week.

But it's the specter of racial injustice and suspicions about Zimmerman's views on race that have sparked dozens of protests around the country and drawn international attention to Trayvon's case.

Zimmerman's father, a retired magistrate judge, fought back against those allegations in a recent letter to the Orlando Sentinel.

The portrayal of George Zimmerman in the media, as well as the series of events that led to the tragic shooting, are false and extremely misleading," Robert Zimmerman wrote. "Unfortunately, some individuals and organizations have used this tragedy to further their own causes and agendas. George is a Spanish-speaking minority with many black family members and friends. He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever."

In an interview Friday, Zimmerman's lawyer, Craig Sonner, told CNN that Zimmerman had recently mentored a black boy, taking him out to play basketball and participating in fund-raisers at the boy's church.

This is a case about self-defense, that's what the trial is going to be about, Mr. Sonner said. It's not about being angry over a racial issue.

George Zimmerman Threatens Beyonc and Jay-Z over Trayvon Doc

A series of text messages sent to a private investigator appears to show George Zimmerman threatening Beyonc over the recently premiered docuseries, Trayvon Martin: Rest in Power, produced by Jay-Z.

According to the Blast (h/t Vibe), which obtained the messages, Zimmerman sent the texts to Dennis Warren, a private investigator who worked on the six-part documentary about the 2012 killing of the unarmed Florida teen. In the threatening texts, Zimmerman also came for Jay-Z.

The series of texts read:

Im bringing hell with me.

Oh yea and tell Jay-Z hes a bitch and his wifes a broke whore.

If I see either of them in my life, theyll find themselves inside a 13 foot gator.

Calling Beyonc broke? George sure has some nerve.

According to the Blast, Zimmerman has sent hundreds of messages and voicemails harassing Warren, who was hired to find potential subjects to participate in the documentary. In fact, this past May, Zimmerman was charged with stalking Warren. The Blast also reports that Zimmerman sent harassing texts to one of the Rest in Power executive producers, Michael Gasparro. The gossip site says Zimmerman allegedly texted Gasparros address to him and said the Genovese mafia were looking for him.

You would think a man who was acquitted of the murder of a teenage boy five years ago would just go

Serious question: Does George Zimmerman have a death wish? Because a regular degular person threatening Beyonc is tantamount to putting your head in a guillotine. Why one of the most despised men in America would give anyone further reason to take him out is beyond me, but its worth noting that this violent, aggressive and needlessly provocative behavior is more than just a pattern with Zimmerman. Its clearly who he is.

And yet, not only is Zimmerman free, but there hasnt been any meaningful legal intervention regarding his behavior. One cant help but wonder how much more time will pass before Zimmerman causes serious harm to someone else.

The Blast reports that the threatening messages will be featured on the final episode of the Trayvon Martin documentary, which will air this Monday on BET and the Paramount Network at 10 p.m. EST.
