Julia Louis-Dreyfus was caught up in Hillary Clinton’s email scandal – NEWS.com.au

Take a look at the all new trailer for Season 5 of 'Veep' starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus was caught up in the Hillary Clinton email leak.

JULIA Louis-Dreyfus has shared an incredibly awkward/hilarious story about a gift she received from Hillary Clinton.

The actress told The Late Late Show host, James Corden, that she worked with someone on her TV show Veep that also did makeup for the politician.

Her friend asked the then Secretary of State to write a note to Louis-Dreyfus as a gift and she obliged.

It said, Dear Julia, I hope you get job reform and education reform ... as Veep. Best wishes, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Louis-Dreyfus said about the note.

So of course I was thrilled to get this and I had it framed in my house.

But Louis-Dreyfus attitude towards the gift changed slightly in 2016 when WikiLeaks published more than 30,000 emails sent to and from Hillary Clintons private email server.

One of the released emails revealed that the politician actually had very little idea about who Julia Louis-Dreyfus actually was.

Somebody tweeted to me an email that Hillary Clinton sent to a staffer that said, a friend of mine needs me to write something for Julie Dryfus (sic). Any idea what to say? Shes on some show, the actress told Corden.

And so he writes back, its called Veep. I will admit I have not seen it ...

The actress, who played Elaine on Seinfeld, told the talk show host that she now has the email exchange printed and on display next to the original note from Hillary Clinton.

Gohmert: During the Campaign, Paul Ryan Told Us to ‘Keep President Hillary Clinton Accountable’ – Townhall

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) has revealed that during the 2016 presidential campaign, House Speaker Paul Ryan told him and his fellow Republicans to give up on Donald Trump's campaign and just focus their energy on keeping "President Hillary Clinton accountable." According to Ryan, the Republicans had no chance at the White House, so at the very least they should try to retain their House majority.

The directive came during a conference call, Gohmert told The Daily Caller in a video interview and then confirmed again during his appearance on "Fox & Friends" Sunday.

The Texas Republican, as you can imagine, was not thrilled with Ryan's suggestion.

Are you crazy? We havent held anyone accountable. You havent even let us hold the IRS commissioner accountable [for using government power to harm President Obamas political adversaries], an astonished Gohmert said to the speaker on a call.

Speaker Ryan has not been conservatives' favorite leader as of late. By late May last year, he had still not properly endorsed Trump, though by then it was clear he was going to be the Republican presidential candidate. Ryan was just "not ready" to offer his support, he told CNN's Jake Tapper.

Gohmert has also spoken out against Ryan in regards to the now failed effort to repeal and replace Obamacare. During the House Freedom Caucus's discussions with the White House, the Texan claims that the conservative group was nearly ready to strike a deal with the president, but Ryan and then-Chief of Staff Reince Priebus advised Trump not to.

On Twitter, Trump thanks Bannon for his role in defeating ‘Crooked Hillary Clinton’ – Washington Post

President Trump decided to dismiss Stephen K. Bannon, after weeks of White House upheaval and racial unrest. The ousted chief strategist returned to Breitbart News on Aug. 18. (Peter Stevenson,Jenny Starrs/The Washington Post)

President Trump took to Twitter on Saturday morning to thank Stephen K. Bannon, his ousted White House chief strategist, and took a shot at his vanquished Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, while he was at it.

I want to thank Steve Bannon for his service, Trump said in a morning tweet. He came to the campaign during my run against Crooked Hillary Clinton - it was great! Thanks S

Trump on Friday dismissed Bannon, an architect of his 2016 general-election victory and the champion of his nationalist impulses, in a major White House shake-up.

[Bannons next move: A return to Breitbart News, with more reach than ever]

Administration officials said Trump empowered new chief of staff, John F. Kelly, to fire Bannon in an effort to tame warring factions and bring stability to a White House at risk of caving under its self-destructive tendencies.

Trumps tweet made no mention of Bannons contributions at the White House. It also referenced Bannons arrival after the GOP primary season, a point Trump and other White House officials have made in recent weeks as theyve tried to distance themselves from Bannon.

Having departed the White House, Bannon is returning as executive chairman of Breitbart News, the pugilistic conservative website he helped guide before joining Trumps campaign last August, Breitbart announced Friday.

In a second tweet on Saturday afternoon, Trump wished Bannon well as he returned.

Steve Bannon will be a tough and smart new voice at @BreitbartNews...maybe even better than ever before, Trump said. Fake News needs the competition!

Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has paid Huma Abedin nearly $65,000 from her campaign funds since her November election defeat, Federal Election Commission filings show.

Records show Abedin, Clinton's longtime friend and aide who served as the vice chair of the campaign, has been paid $64,415.10 in salary from Hillary for America, Clinton's campaign committee, since mid-November.

From mid-November to the end of March, Abedin was paid $52,180.65 from Hillary for America. From the beginning of April until the end of June, Abedin was given another $12,234.45 from Clinton's campaign committee.

Abedin is not the only individual who is still receiving payments from Clinton's campaign.

Nick Merrill, Hillary's former press secretary, was still receiving checks from the campaign as of late June, the end point for the latest available figures.

Robert Russo, who was the director of correspondence and briefing for the campaign, now carries the same job title in the Office of Hillary Clinton and is still being compensated from Clinton's campaign committee, as are a number of other staffers.

Clinton has also sent $800,000 from her campaign funds to Onward Together, a "resistance" group that she launched earlier this year, the Washington Free Beacon previously reported.

Clinton's political action group will fund a number of other "resistance" groups that have impressed her since the conclusion of the election. Clinton is working with former aides and donors on the project.

"From the Women's March to airports across the country where communities are welcoming immigrants and refugees to town hall meetings in every community, Americans are speaking out like never before," Clintonwrotein an email to supporters in May. "I believe more fiercely than ever that citizen engagement at every level is central to a strong and vibrant democracy."

"In some cases, we'll provide direct funding to these organizations. For others, we'll help amplify their work and do what we can to help them continue to grow their audiences and expand their reach."

Clinton's campaign reported sending the $800,000 check to Onward Together on May 1.

Clinton, who publicly announced the launch of the group on May 15, had already financed Swing Left, Run for Something, and Emerge America, all liberal activist groups, at the time of the announcement.

Emailed requests for comment to the Clinton campaign bounced back as undeliverable.

Hillary Clinton Snapchat Username & Snapcode – Gazette Review

Last year, Hillary Clinton was probably one of the most talked-about people in the entire country. She was the Democratic nominee for the 2016 Presidential Election, and in the months leading up to the election, she was in the news for a lot of different reasons. Although she didnt end up winning the 2016 Presidential Election, she is still probably one of the more well-known and relevant figures in politics right now, particularly in the Democratic Party. Hillary Clinton has millions of supporters across the country, and these supporters are known to express their kinship with Clinton through social media. They flock to numerous social platforms, including Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Hillary Clinton was born as Hillary Rodham in October of 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. She was an overachiever from a young age. Rodham was very good in class, and she was active in different extracurricular activities. She went to high school at Maine East High School, where she was an active member of the student council and a contributor to the school newspaper. During her senior year, she was voted most likely to succeed by her peers. Hillary was interested in politics when she was very young. Rodham obviously participated in things like student council, but her desire to create change in the world around her branched out much further than just that. She grew up in a largely conservative household, and so early on, she volunteered for Republican politicians. (During the election of 1964, she supported Republican candidate Barry Goldwater.) Heading into 1965, Hillary was still a Republican when she began to attend Wellesley College.

Hillary was a political science major with Wellesley College, and she continued to support Republican candidates in various local and larger elections. During the 1960s, there was a lot of political upheaval. While a lot of people Rodhams age were trying to take action against the government, Rodham was more inclined to create change in a more constructive manner. During her junior year, despite her conservative tendencies, she became an avid supporter of Eugence MCCarthys antiwar presidential nomination campaign. Although Hillary entered Wellesley College as a ride or die Republican, her time at the college caused her to slowly inch over to the Democratic side of things. She would go on to graduate the school with a bachelor of arts in political science, and following this graduation she would go to Yale Law School.

Around this time, Hillary began to date Bill Clinton. They were both law students at Yale, and they became very close over time. When Hillary graduated from Yale in 1973 with her Juris Doctor, Clinton proposed to her, but she declined his proposal. Although Hillary loved Bill very much, she was reluctant to permanently tie her life to his. Now that Hillary was completely done with school, she began to assert herself in law and in politics. For a time, she was the staff attorney for the Childrens Defense Fund in Massachusetts. She followed Bill wherever he went as he continued to pursue a career in politics, and all the while she sought out her own opportunities. In 1974, she moved to Arkansas (where Bill was running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives) and became a faculty member with University of Arkansas, Fayettevilles School of Law. Around this time, Hillary also became the direction of a legal aid clinic that was run by the university. In 1975, just a year after moving to Arkansas, Hillary finally agreed to marry Bill Clinton. She may not have known this at the time, but this decision would majorly alter the course of the remainder of her political career.

It took her a while to jump on the bandwagon, but Hillary Clinton did in fact end up creating a Snapchat account during the summer of 2015. If you want to add this politician on Snapchat, you can find her just by searching for the username hillaryclinton. You also have the option of scanning her Snapcode using the Snapchat app. (The image you see above is Hillary Clintons Snapcode.) There are a lot of people out there who use Kik. Its a very popular messaging app, and its especially popular among younger people. However, it isnt all that popular among politicians, and Hillary Clinton is no exception. Kik is a littletoo casual for someone like Hillary Clinton to use it. If you meet someone on Kik who claims to be Hillary Clinton, youre probably talking with a very ambitious impersonator.
