She also posted a statement, noting, in part, "Today was a victory for the 24,000,000 people at risk of losing their health insurance, for seniors, for families battling the quiet epidemic of addiction, for new moms, and women everywhere. Most of all, it's a victory for anyone who believes affordable health care is a human right."

Clinton added, "The fight isn't over yet we will have to push back on future bad ideas and embrace good ones to make health care more affordable but we are reminded today that there is no substitute for standing up and defending our values."

House Speaker Paul Ryan would probably disagree with Clinton about GOP's health care plan being a "bad idea."

In his press conference after the bill's failure, Ryan said, in part, "I'm really proud of the bill that we produced. It would make a dramatic improvement in our health care system and provide relief to people hurting under Obamacare. And what's probably most troubling is the worst is yet to come with Obamacare. "

Clinton tweeted an official statement along with a handful of stories from people who have benefitted from ObamaCare.

"Today was a victory for the 24,000,000 people at risk of losing their health insurance, for seniors, for families battling the quiet epidemic of addiction, for new moms and women everywhere," Clinton said in her statement.

"The fight isn't over yet," she added, saying that "we will have to push back on future bad ideas and embrace good ones to make health care more affordable."

Clinton ended her series of tweets with a call to "continue to stand up, organize, resist, put forth good ideas to improve the existing system and people's lives."

Politico is reporting that prior to the 2016 U.S. presidential election, the Republican National Committee (RNC) hired a small Virginia firm to gather information that'd be potentially damaging to Hillary Clinton's candidacy.

The company, Hamilton Trading Group, is run by ex-CIA employees who also had dealings with a former Russian spy.

The payments made by the RNC to Hamilton Trading Group were earlier believed to be solely for assessing building security. The Federal Election Commission website shows several RNC payments to the firm under "Security Services" and "Research Services."

However, Politico notes, "RNC officials now acknowledge that most of the cash $34,100 went towards intelligence-style reports that sought to prove conflicts of interest between Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State and her family's foundation."

The media outlet further writes, "The firm produced two dossiers that tried to make the case that Clinton intervened in Bulgaria and Israel, respectively, on behalf of energy companies that had donated to the Clinton Foundation, according to people briefed on the reports."

Hamilton Trading Group, however, says the scope of their work with the RNC did not have anything to do with Russia.

Nevertheless, Politico's report comes amid mounting questions surrounding Trump associates' possible ties with Moscow.

The owners of Republic Restoratives, a female-run craft distillery in D.C., spent months concocting a spirit worthy of celebrating their next presidents inauguration. Then, well, the election happened, and Rodham Rye sort of made no sense. But now, after a period of self-described mourning, Rachel Gardner and Pia Carusone have decided to move forward with the whiskey anyway. Their boozy homage to Hillary Clinton goes on sale tomorrow in a limited batch of 4,652 bottles that could go pretty fast, though the company is already teasing, You never know, there could be a comeback.

Carusone, who used to be congresswoman Gabby Giffordss chief of staff, says Rodham Rye is really a celebration of women in general, which is why theyre releasing it in March, during Womens History Month. Its a tribute to women in history, and a tribute to women in our everyday lives, she tells Washingtonian. And there are plenty of symbolic eye winks. Its a blend of one- and three-and-a-half-year Tennessee ryes, teeing up this description on the bottle: A selection of whiskies that are stronger together than apart. Additionally, Carusone points out, rye is the hardiest, sturdiest, most resilient grain of them all, and it just so happens that they sweetened the whiskey with maple syrup from Clintons state of New York. Theyll also be donating 5 percent from the sale of every $79 bottle to EMILYs List, a group that promotes women in politics.
