Why is Jade Jagger living in a home for the poor?

Council flat in DJ husband Adrian Fillary's name She spent 25,000 changing the curve of her pool Her jewellery firm made 130k last year

A lister: Despite her celebrity and wealth Jade Jagger is living in a one-bedroom housing association flat which is meant to be for people in 'social need'

She has the beauty, the creative talent, the double-A celebrity pedigree and plenty of cash. With her Rolling Stone father Mick worth a reported 200million-plus, Jade Jagger was raised in some of the most fashionable and desirable addresses in the world.

As the only child of Micks short and stormy marriage to Bianca her Nicaraguan model-turned-humanitarian mother Jade is the first to admit she was dealt a good hand in life.

But, as she once put it: I like to think Ive played it well.

Indeed, she has. Even though she has never had anything so humdrum as a day job, shrewd Jade, 41, has created quite a business empire with a jewellery firm, a clothing line, a design business and numerous suitably bohemian homes on three continents.

She is by no stretch of the imagination close to the breadline. Which is why its so surprising to learn she is now living in a one-bedroom housing association flat, situated under the Oxo Tower in South London, which is meant to be for people in social need.

When you consider that the 120-a-week rent is less than half the price of the very cheapest item in her jewellery collection (a small gold feather on a long cotton rope costing 245), its reasonable to question what business Jade has to be occupying such a residence.

Pulsating stuff from Swedish House Mafia

The Swedish House Mafia trio might be breaking up soon but they are not going away quietly.

BRINGING in any giant Electronic Dance Music (EDM) star comes with a lot of headaches for any promoter, no matter how experienced they are, let alone the three mavericks in Swedish House Mafia. EDM fans worldwide are currently seeing the collective of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso on their last global party romp right up until March after which they break up and go their own different musical ways.

In the short space of four years, these Swede superstars have combined their already prolific individual talents into one of dance musics most commercially successful brands.

With six widely successful singles in two years, the group is one of the dominating faces of the global EDM scene, with its latest (and last) release Dont You Worry Child (featuring fellow Swedish vocalist John Martin) famously denying the new James Bond movie theme from British songstress Adele, Skyfall, a British chart topper just three months ago.

The news was hyped to a maximum when Malaysia was selected as one of more than 20 destinations around the world for Swedish House Mafias One Last Tour.

Last Friday finally saw the group fly into town from Singapore.

Presented by JS Concerts, the group took on a full-on concert at the Sunway Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon Resort in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

In comparison to the massive rave parties that graced the recent Sepang events (featuring David Guetta or Avicii/Above and Beyond/Justice), Swedish House Mafia did have enough fans here to break the 15,000 mark. The crowd had to brave the traffic snarl and rain to get to Sunway Surf Beach.

Credit must be given to the two local deejays (Mr Fluff, DJ Nikki) and one Singaporean deejay (DJ Eclipse) who took turns to warm up the crowd before the headlining act.

It was, surprisingly, an early start (9.30pm) for Swedish House Mafia (SHM), who had earlier indicated it would be starting at 10pm.

NSFW presents Flosstradamus (US). The Chicago duo makes its debut in Malaysia. They are as eclectic as they can get, having released a catalogue of original bangers on Fools Gold, Green Label Sound and Mad Decent/Jeffrees so far.

Flosstradamus spent the last eight years developing new sounds all over the globe and one of the reasons they have been able to reinvent the party scene is because they bring an irresistible sense of fun to every single set, regardless of the nature of the venue.

Both established DJs in Chicago before forming this alliance, J2K and Autobot initially linked up while DJing a house party together in 2005.

Expect an exciting mix of sounds as they combine vast influences from the irrespective backgrounds in punk and hip hop and a handful of other goodies.
