She wed her toyboy husband six months ago.

And today it was obvious Spain's Duchess of Alba and her younger, dashing husband were still very much enjoying married life as they stepped out for a lunch date in Paris.

The eccentric billionairess, 85, held hands with her 61-year-old toyboy as they strolled the streets of the French capital.

Love's young dream: The eccentric Duchess stepped out with her younger husband Alfonzo Diez in Paris

Sheltering from the rain: The quirky billionairess shielded her all-in-blue ensemble - which included eye liner, dress, stockings and shoes - under an umbrella

Dressed head to toe in several different shades of blue - which included a hairpiece, shoes, dress and stockings - the quirky duchess clung to her husband's arm as they browsed a book shop.

The couple married in a flamboyant ceremony last October; the bride, an eccentric billionaire with more titles than Queen Elizabeth II while her groom was a mere civil servant young enough to be her son.

Treasury to provide security in legal challenge to Nama

The Irish Times - Friday, April 27, 2012

MARY CAROLAN and CIARN HANCOCK

INSOLVENT DEVELOPER Treasury Holdings has agreed to provide a sum of 600,000 and charges over four properties in favour of the National Assets Management Agency as security for costs of its challenge to the agencys decision to call in loans of more than 1 billion and appointing receivers over properties here.

The money and first fixed charges must be provided within two weeks or the developers action will be stayed and Nama will have liberty to apply to dismiss it, it was also agreed before the Commercial Court yesterday.

The charges relate to a 50 acre development site at Valverde, Cala Llonga, Ibiza, Spain; a property at St Laurences Park, Stillorgan, Dublin; and a total of 20 car parking spaces at Townsend Street and Clanwilliam Terrace in Dublin. The 600,000 is to be lodged to an account in the names of solicitors for both sides.

Given Treasurys consent to provide that security, an application by Nama for orders requiring the company to provide security for costs, and a fortified undertaking for damages, did not proceed yesterday.

Security for costs had been sought in circumstances where the developer is insolvent with overall debt of some 2.7 billion. Nama acquired some 1.7 billion of its loans in 2010 and the loans called in by it amount to over 1 billion.

After talks yesterday morning between the sides, Ms Justice Mary Finlay Geoghegan was told the issue of security for costs and the application for a fortified undertaking for damages had been resolved. The developer had agreed to provide the cash and charges over properties, plus a fortified undertaking for damages based on those same resources, Paul Sreenan SC, with Cian Ferriter SC, for Nama, said.

Michael Cush SC, for Treasury, confirmed that agreement. He also said the developer was not proceeding with any claims for declarations that would have required the State to continue to be represented in the action and, in those circumstances, the State was struck out as a party to the case. An amended statement of claim would reflect that, counsel said.

Lyndon MacCann SC, for KBC Bank, said his client, which is owed 75 million by Treasury and opposes the developers action, intended to remain in the case.

Kaskade Adds California Dates To Freaks Of Nature Tour

The summer is typically when EDM acts travel to dance-music mecca Ibiza, Spain, but as dance music's upsurge in popularity in America continues, this year, all the action will be coming to a town near you.

Last year, L.A.-based "King of Cool" Kaskade brought America the Identity Festival, the country's first touring dance music festival, and now he's stepping things up with the 50-plus-date Freaks of Nature Tour. And he's bringing a few friends along for the tour, which runs from June through August (including a stop to perform at Lollapalooza).

"I'm bringing along my homeboys Alvin Risk, Fareoh, Treasure Fingers and Le Castle Vania, to a city near you really soon," Kaskade revealed to MTV News. "It's going to be a ridiculous summer!"

To mark the occasion, and certainly in an endearing salute to his California fans he got his start in music in San Francisco Kaskade debuted a video on Monday (April 23) announcing two blockbuster dates, one of which will make Kaskade the first solo electronic dance musician to ever headline Los Angeles' Staples Center.

The video begins at the scene of Kaskade's headline-grabbing 2011 impromptu street performance in Hollywood, where thousands of fans took to the streets with the LAPD on the scene, in full riot gear.

Through a montage of big, banging performances, set to his latest single with Skrillex, "Lick it," Kaskade revealed July 27 and 28 dates in L.A. and San Francisco, respectively, reminding the state of California that "I have not forgotten you."

"We are ready to rock it out on the Freaks of Nature Tour," Kaskade told MTV News. "Had to end that announcement with the West Coast ... I can't wait to get back to California!"

Saudi rape case dropped in Spain

29 March 2012 Last updated at 10:26 ET

A court in Spain has dropped a rape case against a Saudi prince over "contradictions and vagueness" in evidence from the alleged victim.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, one of the world's richest men, was accused of raping the woman, a model, aboard a yacht moored off Ibiza in August 2008.

He denied the charge, saying he was not even in Spain at the time.

A judge ordered the case to be closed for lack of evidence in 2010 but it was re-opened on appeal from the plaintiff.

In its ruling released on Thursday, the provincial court on Palma de Majorca, capital of the Balearic Islands, ordered a stay of proceedings.

"In light of recent statements by the complainant, we cannot firmly establish with evidence what happened overnight August 11-12, 2008, on the yacht," it added.

The prince, 57, is pursuing criminal actions against the accuser, her mother and their lawyer, and professional sanctions against the lawyer for unethical behaviour.

He said in a statement that he had not even heard of the case against him until it was resurrected last September.

"No-one's character should be subject to such dishonest attacks," the statement added.
