The School of Internet Marketing Instructor Speaks with Illustrator Ed Siemienkowicz

Jersey City, New Jersey (PRWEB) February 22, 2014

In his latest podcast, Jonathan Goodman, president of Halyard Consulting and professor of The School of Internet Marketing, spoke with illustrator and graphic designer Ed Siemienkowicz. Together they explored their unique experiences at Ringling College of Art and Design, Eds company 9mm Studio, and how to market a successful podcast.

Although they attended Ringling at the same time, Goodman and Siemienkowicz took very different paths to reach their destinations. Ed started at Ringling seeking to become an animator, but instead turned towards illustration. He began his career as a graphic designer working for organizations such as the Golf channel and later found his niche in comics.

"Our research has shown that the smaller shows of 10 minutes or 15 minutes are getting the most hits and are actually keeping users in their seats to watch them." Ed Siemienkowicz

Goodman talked to Ed about his company and personal brand 9mm Studio which has been the outlet for many of Eds projects outside of his day job. These projects include the popular comic Chrome and Dust, as well as his strip Random Play. Siemienkowicz also has a very successful Star Wars themed podcast called Voice of the Republic that has run for over 6 years with a dedicated fan base. He is currently looking at relaunching his podcast with a wider focus.

Together Goodman and Siemienkowicz discuss strategies for marketing podcasts that will pull in new users and keep current listeners tuned in. Strategies ranged from segmenting longer shows into shorter intervals, consistent publication, and branding. These are all strategies for anyone using podcasts to increase exposure to their brands.

Dan Gartlan and Nicole Wagner Scheduled to Speak at Two Upcoming Senior Living/Aging Care Services Events

Lombard, IL (PRWEB) February 21, 2014

Stevens & Tate Marketing is strengthening its presence as experts within the senior living and aging care services industry across the Midwest. President Dan Gartlan and Internet Marketing Director Nicole Wagner have both been selected for significant speaking events occurring during the spring of 2014.

Wagner will be presenting at the Life Services Network (LSN) 2014 Annual Meeting & Exhibition, being held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Her session, Effective Search Engine Marketing Techniques for Senior Living Communities will take place on May 1, 2014 from 2:15-3:15 p.m. This is Wagners third consecutive year speaking for LSN, which is expecting over 3,000 senior living industry professionals in attendance. When asked about the upcoming event, Wagner stated that she is looking forward to sharing new insight into online tactics and techniques for the senior care market today.

The online world changes so fast, Wagner said. Each year is a new opportunity for me to help organizational leaders hone in on the latest issues in search and social media, and learn new strategies to maximize the impact of their efforts. Her LSN presentation will offer a real-world perspective on search engine marketing, including social media and website optimization, and how it affects the increasingly interactive senior marketplace. She will include specific examples and actionable strategies that brands can begin to implement right away to enhance their success.

Gartlan has been asked to speak at the exclusive Public Relations, Admissions, Marketing and Fund Development Conference (PRAMD) hosted by LeadingAge Ohio on April 11, 2014. Selected again for his specialized expertise, this will be Gartlans second year in a row speaking for a LeadingAge Ohio event. As champion of the innovative Attraction Marketing concept (http://www.AttractionMarketingUS.com), he has been instrumental in educating business leaders on the program and its processes across the country. His presentation for the PRAMD Conference, Attraction Marketing Strategies for the Senior Care Market in 2014, is highly anticipated by association members.

According to Gartlan, he will be expanding on proven tactics and strategies that, when used together, can help draw prospects in and drive enhanced business performance. Attendees will discover how they can increase efficiencies and strengthen their marketing programs to get greater results in a competitive marketplace.

Additionally, Gartlan stated that the presentation will also include an in-depth look at recent survey data collected by the agency. Seniors, and their adult children, think and behave differently in todays worldand marketers need to understand these differences and adapt accordingly, Gartlan said. By gaining deeper insight into this consumer set, leaders can adjust their strategies to better match their audiences, which can greatly impact the success of the marketing programs they put in place.

Both of the Stevens & Tate presentations this spring present exciting opportunities for senior living and aging care organizations to expand their marketing knowledge.

The respective associations (LSN and LeadingAge) represent Independent Living Communities, Assisted Living Communities, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) throughout their regions.
