St. Cloud police are searching for two suspects involved in a violent home invasion Monday (today), where the victim was attacked with a stun gun and struck several times in the head causing multiple lacerations.
Police were able to arrest one suspect, Motley Cletus, 36, who was taken into custody after attacking an officer.According to St. Cloud police reports, at about 12:30 a.m., three male suspects entered the victims home on Carolina Avenue in St. Cloud. One suspect, who was armed with an electric stun gun, told the victim to give them money. The victim was then stunned with the gun and struck several times in the head causing multiple lacerations.
Police reports did not state whether the suspects were able to get the money before they fled.
While trying to escape, officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle nearby. The vehicle stopped, and one suspect, Cletus, jumped out and fled on foot. Officers caught Cletus after a foot chase. He then swung at authorities, striking one officer in the head, reports said.
Cletus was taken into custody and charged with burglary to an occupied structure, burglary with a battery therein, false imprisonment, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, robbery, grand theft, resisting with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer,
Cletus also had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
The vehicle with the other suspects fled from the scene and are still at large This is an active, ongoing investigation.
