Authorities arrested a Kissimmee man on Wednesday after he exposed himself to a teenager.
Osceola County Sheriff's deputies arrested registered felon Mathew Bennett, 29, of 2266 Siesta Lane, Kissimmee, and charged him with exposure of sex organs and stalking.
The investigation began on Wednesday at about 2:45 p.m., when deputies responded to a residence on Cirento Drive in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the juvenile victim who said that on Monday evening she was alone at the Siesta Lago community mailbox at 4750 Cirento Drive when she was approached by an unknown male, later identified as Bennett.
He asked her the time and she began looking for her phone in her pocket. When she looked up, Bennett exposed himself and began touching himself in an inappropriate manner, Sheriffs Office reports said. The victim immediately left the area and went home.
On Tuesday at about 4 p.m., the victim was walking home when she was approached by Bennett, again who again asked her for the time. The victim quickly left the area and went home. Later in the evening, when the victim was driving in the neighborhood with her mother, they saw Bennett at a home on Siesta Lane. The victim was able to assist law enforcement with creating a composite sketch of Bennett. After further investigation, detectives identified Bennett as the suspect and detectives obtained a felony warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.
