NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Happy Birthday To New Canaans Ann Coulter.
Ann Hart Coulter, who has owned a home in New Canaan, turns 52 on Sunday. The author, columnist, and conservative political commentator was born Dec. 8, 1961, in New York City, N.Y.
Coulter stared her career as a law clerk in Kansas City for Pasco Bowman II of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and later became a litigator with the Center for Individual Rights.
She is the author of 10 books, many of which have appeared on the New York Times Best Seller list. Her latest book, "Never Trust a Liberal Over 3 Especially a Republican," was released on Oct. 14.
She is a conservative columnist, and her weekly syndicated column has appeared with Universal Press Syndicate since the late 1990s. Her column is featured on six conservative websites: Human Events Online, WorldNetDaily, Townhall.com, FrontPageMag, Jewish World Review and her own website.
She has made frequent guest appearances on various televisions and radio talk shows, including "American Morning," "The Mike Gallagher Show," "The O'Reilly Factor," "Real Time with Bill Maher," the "Today" show, "Fox and Friends" and "HARDtalk."
In 2005, she appeared as one of a three-person judging panel in "The Greatest American," a four-part interactive television program for the Discovery Channel. She opposes same-sex marriage and supports a federal U.S. constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.
She is a registered Republican and member of the advisory council of GOProud since Aug. 9, 2011. In March, she was one of the keynote speakers at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
