Ann Coulter Fires Back at Gingrich: ‘I Was Right,’ He Ran to ‘Get a TV Show’

In a Tuesday morning interview with NewsMaxs Steve Malzberg, conservative commentator Ann Coulter responded to CNN host and former GOP leader Newt Gingrich, who recently dismissed her claims about him as being part of her book-selling shtick.

Appearing on Foxs Hannity last week, Coulter decried shysters like Gingrich for his 2012 presidential run, which she claims was done purely out of self-aggrandizement and, as she wrote in her book, the need to appeal to rubes and hotheads.

When asked about that comment, Gingrich touted his record as House Speaker under President Bill Clinton and said I wouldve thought [that] would have counted against the number of books shes sold, but people have got to go out and say something to sell books and shes found her schtick.

And so Coulters response from today: I fully credit him for some of the great things hes done. It was specifically his running for president. And I was right, hes doing it to get a TV show. He got himself a TV show.

Gingrich is now a co-host of CNNs Crossfire reboot.

The point is, she continued, its not helping the Republican Party to have these endlessly long primaries with people who are never going to be the nominee. And we have to face it. Its never going to be a member of Congress, its never going to be an inspirational leader, its never going to be a businessman.

Ann Coulter on Hannity: Shutdown Was ‘So Magnificent, Run Beautifully’ by GOP

In retrospect, Ann Coulter believes the government shutdown turned out very well and the Republicans played it beautifully, telling Sean Hannity shes proud of Republicans like Ted Cruz who took a stand on Obamacare. They both agreed that everything run by the government will get more expensive and worse over time, though Coulter slightly disagreed with Hannity about tactics going forward.

Coulter blasted the health care law, suggesting it was designed to fail so they can move it to a single-payer system, and said that now its very clear how effective the shutdown was. She said, The shutdown was so magnificent, run beautifully, Im so proud of these Republicans.

Hannity admitted he was bothered by Republicans by John McCain who sold out the rest of their party instead of holding the ranks. Coulter even lamented how some of our media was too busy going after Cruz, and argued the liberal media wouldnt be this critical if a House Democratic majority attempted what the Republicans did.

Coulter also told Hannity conservatives shouldnt waste our time primarying our own guys, putting the emphasis on broadening Republican numbers in Congress first.

Ann Coulter calls ‘The View’ braver than ‘Today,’ only ‘mainstream media’ show she’ll do

Republican pundit Ann Coulter appeared on "The View" on Tuesday (Oct. 22), where she was up to her usual tricks, promoting her new book "Never Trust A Liberal Over 3 -- Especially A Republican," but while there she made a pretty hefty proclamation on behalf of the ABC chatfest.

During a conversation about whether a woman president could fix the mess in Washington, which saw Coulter stay true to form ("This probably won't be popular with this audience. I'm not sure I agree with the premise. I think there's a reason the words 'b****y' and 'hysteria' come from females..."), the talking head did offer her gender a concession in the form of complimenting "The View" and bashing the "Today" show. "The other thing I'll say is, women are definitely braver than men since this is the only mainstream media show I will be doing," she admitted. "So thank you, you're braver than Matt Lauer."

Oh? And as for her firm beliefs about the nature of women expressed above, Coulter quickly backed off when confronted by Sherri Shepherd about the ugliness of them. "You're right. Men are the ones who came up with those words as words for women. Fine, you've won me over," she said.

That Ann Coulter -- always so steadfast in her belief.

Ann Coulter Calls Government Shutdown ‘Magnificent’ and ‘Brilliant’ (Video)

Conservative political commentator and author Ann Coulter has come to the GOPs defense regarding their failed attempt to take down Obamacare and the resulting 16-day partial government shutdown.

The shutdown was so magnificent, run beautifully. Im so proud of these Republicans, and that is because they have branded the Republican party as the anti-Obamacare party, Coulter said in an interview with Fox News Sean Hannity on Monday.

She advised people to vote for more republicans like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Mike Lee (R-Utah) so there could be more shutdowns and debt ceiling crises.

Coulter said she disagreed with those who said the shutdown should have lasted longer, saying the Republicans handled it well.

What is the point of banging your head against a wall? she said. They accomplished a lot. And it was brilliant how they played it.

While the GOP was praised by Coulter, recent polls reveal that public favorability ratings for the House Republicans over the shutdown reached all time lows.

A series of polls conducted by Public Policy Polling (PPP) showed that Democrats have a good chance of taking the House of Representatives in 2014 if present voter anger over the shutdown and the debt crisis persists.

Coulter also told Hannity that Obamacare was designed to fail so that single payer health care can replace it, which she says will be worse.

Coulter Rips The View Hosts for Claim Women Govern Better: ‘Bitchy’ and ‘Hysteria’ Are Female Traits

Conservative author Ann Coulter appeared on ABCs The View on Tuesday to promote her new book, Never Trust a Liberal Over Three Especially a Republican. She shocked the hosts after she shot down their claim that the government shutdown would have never occurred if the federal government was run by women. Coulter countered by saying that bitchy and hysteria are two words associated with women for a reason.

Youve never met a liberal you liked? Barbara Walters asked about her book. Coulter said that the headline for her book was not literally true, but it was a take off on a 1960s-era expression which advised young people to not trust adults.

A lot of the Republicans are being blamed for this 16-day government shutdown, Sherri Shepherd began. Whats youre take on that.

My gripe is with Republicans doing too much of the circular firing squad, Coulter replied. I have an idea: why dont you attack Democrats.

Guest host Alicia Menendez asked Coulter about the polling which showed Republicans are now deeply unpopular with the general public. Coulter dismissed those polls of only adults. She said that they were as relevant as her opinion on Dancing with the Stars a program she does not watch.

Half of all adults dont know what day Election Day is, she said. For people paying attention, [Sens.] Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) are probably the two smartest senators.

I think its really energized Republicans, she added.

Jenny McCarthy asked Coulter about the consensus on The View panel, that there would not have been a shutdown if a woman ran the country. Coulter blasted this notion as having a faulty premise.

I think theres a reason why the words bitchy, and hysteria come from females, She said to the groans of The Views hosts.
