Ann Coulter on Piers Morgan Live last night.
Conservative pundit Ann Counter thinks Hillary Clintons expected presidential candidacy will fizzle, just like City Council Speaker Christine Quinns mayoral bid this year.
I dont think shes that formidable. I think it will be a re-run ofsorry, this is a New York referencebut another Christine Quinn, Ms. Coulter saidlast night on CNNsPiers Morgan Live. We were told, Inevitable, inevitable, shes the next mayor, next mayor!People came and voted, and, Nah, I dont think so.
Ms. Quinn, who would have been the citys first female and openly gay mayor, was long considered a shoe-in in the mayors race, but wound up finishing a distant third in last months Democratic primary. If she decides to run and wins, Ms. Clinton would be the nations first female president.
The comments came as the two were discussing President Barack Obamas appeal with young people and whether that enthusiasm would transfer to his successor. Ms. Coulter, an outspoken conservative, believed it would not.
I think the Obama magic goes away with any of the other Democratic candidates, predicted Ms. Coulter, who began her appearance by saying she considered herself the conservative ayatollah.
Even Hillary Clinton? asked host Piers Morgan.
The only people fainting at her rallies are gonna be chubby gals from NOW, quipped Ms. Coulter, referring to the National Organization for Women.
Ms. Coulter, who was on the show to promote a new book, also praised Republicans handling of the government shutdown (I think the last three weeks have been magnificent!) and offered some predictions in New Jerseys political scene, where Newark Mayor Cory BookerMs. Coulters favorite Democrat in the countryjust won a special election for the U.S. Senate.
The problem is no matter how good they are in their states or cities, once they get to the Senate, then theyre under the control of [New York Senator] Chuck Schumer, so I have a feeling my admiration for him will go down, Ms. Coulter lamented.
