WILEX AG plans extensive cost-cutting measures

- Focus on contract research and ADC technology - Activities on marketing of advanced clinical programmes to continue - All development activities to be scaled back with a significant reduction in the workforce from 51 to 10 employees in Munich - Executive Management Board reduced - Cash reach extended to the second half of 2015 - Publication of annual financial statements postponed to 31 March 2014 at the latest - Conference call on January 30, 2014 at 02:00 pm CET

Munich, Germany, 29 January 2014 - WILEX AG (ISIN DE0006614720 / WL6 / FSE) today resolved to implement extensive cost-cutting measures and focus on contract research and the ADC technology at its subsidiary Heidelberg Pharma. This decision was taken with the approval of the company's Supervisory Board. Clinical development activities will be discontinued stepwise, and the workforce will be reduced by 80% to 10 employees in Munich. Work will continue on the commercial exploitation of the company's advanced clinical programmes. These measures became necessary to extend the company's cash reach. At the moment, WILEX's financing is sufficient to take the company into the third quarter of 2014. With the measures announced today, the cash reach will be extended to at least the second half of 2015.

Despite intensive efforts to obtain project funding and licensing partnerships, WILEX AG has been unable to generate sufficient cash to justify and guarantee maintaining its current scope of business activities. The financing required to start the Phase III trials for RENCAREX(R) and REDECTANE(R) has not been secured.

After the above measures are implemented, a core team will remain in Munich to continue ongoing negotiations on marketing or financing the MESUPRON(R), RENCAREX(R) and REDECTANE(R) projects. Heidelberg Pharma in Ladenburg will continue to develop and market customer-specific contract research operations, and the ADC technology in particular, and thus generate revenue for the Group.

Decreased external costs for research and development, internal savings and lower staff costs will reduce operating expenses in the next months. Cash and cash equivalents as of 30 November 2013 totalled approximately EUR 8.9 million, subject to the annual financial statements audit. Due to the restructuring, the publication of annual financial statements will postponed to 31 March 2014 at the latest.

Nanogate AG: course of growth in glazing components continues

Integrated centre of excellence for Nglaze commences operations as scheduled - Fifteen new jobs created - Increased demand from China - Further expansion of capacities started

Gttelborn, Germany, 29 January 2014. Nanogate AG (ISIN DE000A0JKHC9), a leading international integrated systems provider for high-performance surfaces, has reached new milestones in the expansion of its market position. The newly opened centre of excellence for the production and enhancement of Nglaze components has commenced operations as scheduled and started delivering components. At the same time, the volume of existing business with China has picked up significantly. In view of the increase in orders, Nanogate has decided to expand the centre of excellence. By way of a second production line, capacity is set to more than double from the first quarter of 2015. In the medium term, Nanogate expects Nglaze to grow significantly.

Ralf Zastrau, CEO of Nanogate AG, commented: 'Nglaze components are an integral part of Nanogate's growth strategy. Glazed plastics with multifunctional properties enable new designs to be used as a replacement for glass or metal in many applications. The increase in the existing order volume for vehicle roof elements, which we deliver to China, once again confirms our focus. The Group will expand its capacities as a result of the current increase in orders and heightened interest. In the medium term, we will benefit from this step as regards sales and profitability, even if we continue to make investments and to open up new markets in the short term. In light of the great interest shown in Nglaze, we anticipate new applications and further growth, particularly in international business.'

Under the Nglaze umbrella brand, Nanogate markets flat and complex components (2D and 3D) based on innovative, multifunctional plastics with glass-like properties. Thanks to the benefits they provide in terms of design and weight, they are currently being used, particularly in automobile construction, for components with a high-gloss, black piano lacquer finish, for example. In this dynamically expanding market, the Group received several contracts with a value in the millions of euros in the past year, such as orders from China to supply roof modules as well as from Porsche for a new premium SUV.

New jobs and further expansion of capacities The creation of the integrated centre of excellence, which brings together the development, production and coating of Nglaze components, started following Nanogate's acquisition of an equity holding in Plastic-Design at the end of 2012. The Group now holds a 76 % stake in the company along with an option for the remaining shares. 15 new jobs have so far been created at the site in Bad Salzuflen. With the scheduled start of production, the company's process of transformation has progressed a long way, and its integration into the Group is now complete. A second production line is to be set up by the first quarter of 2015, thereby more than doubling capacity at the centre of excellence.

The SinnerSchrader AG Supervisory Board was elected for another five years at today's Annual General Meeting. The Board remains unchanged, and is made up of Dieter Heyde, Prof. Cyrus D. Khazaeli and Philip W. Seitz.

The Annual General Meeting was held against the background of renewed dynamic growth in agency business. While the first two quarters of the 2012/2013 financial year were still characterised by weak growth, business in the agency group rallied significantly in the second half of the financial year.

This trend stabilised in the first quarter of the current financial year. As already reported on 15 January 2014, revenue rose by 18 per cent in comparison to the previous year, and the operating result (EBITA) increased by 181 per cent to 0.6 million euros.

At a statutory meeting at the end of the Annual General Meeting the Supervisory Board re-elected Dieter Heyde as its Chairman and confirmed Prof. Cyrus D. Khazaeli as Deputy Chairman.

Dieter Heyde was born in 1947 and has been a member of the Supervisory Board of SinnerSchrader AG since 2006. He was appointed Chairman in 2009. After completing an industrial apprenticeship with Siemens, Mr Heyde studied Business Management in Frankfurt am Main. In 1971 he founded a consulting firm for IT solutions in the logistics sector, and headed Heyde AG, most recently as Chairman of the Management Board, until the beginning of 2001. Dieter Heyde has been a Managing Partner of SALT Solutions GmbH since 2002.

Cyrus D. Khazaeli was born in 1962, and studied Visual Communication at the College of Fine Arts in Hamburg. After completing his studies he worked for various agencies as Art Director and Creative Director, and since 1995 he has published specialist books on design at the publishing firm Rowohlt Verlag. From 1997 to 2005 he was a lecturer in Media IT at Wedel University of Applied Sciences and in Media Didactics at Hamburg University. In addition to his main occupation as Professor for Communication and Interaction Design at Berlin Technical Academy of Art, Cyrus D. Khazaeli works as a freelance consultant and Creative Director in the field of new media. Mr Khazaeli has been a member of the SinnerSchrader AG Supervisory Board since 2007.

My Girl — A Love Poem to Myself

When she says the word nice, it comes out mice and scampers away. She likes the way its toenails click on the linoleum, its pink tail slipping behind the pantry. How its tiny teeth bite deep, sending large men to the hospital for a vaccination, something to stop the throbbing.

When she says the word pretty, it's a game of Twister: elbows pinched behind knees, firm breasts and trim waists tangled 'round her buttered pounds of know-how. She reaches for the red spot, an ugliness in her hips as she watches the small bodies crumble around her, collapsing in a lovely, sweaty heap, anxious to play again.

When she says the word smart, numbers start cramming their countless bodies forward and history commences its timeline to the stage. Political parties leap in all jacked up on say-so and some riotous memory of Sid Vicious a mindless mental mosh pit until someone gets hurt. There's a story, but nobody's talkin'. The silence is like a rhyme that doesn't.

People ask her for words all the time and she is generous. It's her finest quality, this dictionary of giving, the closest thing she has to a mirror, the words looking back as she lets them go, knowing they will return when all has been said and love has no other name to call itself.
