Nordex awarded follow-up contract by ESB International

Manufacturer will be installing 20-MW wind farm in Ireland

Hamburg 9 December 2013. The Nordex Group has received a further order from its Irish customer ESB International, Dublin. In the follow-up 'Woodhouse' project, Nordex will be installing a 20-MW wind farm comprising five N100/2500 and three N90/2500 turbines. As a result, Nordex will be covering the local strong to mid wind conditions to optimum effect. Also included is a five-year premium service contract.

To date, Nordex has constructed a total of four wind farms for ESB in the north and south of Ireland with a combined capacity of 67.5 MW. The 'Woodhouse' project is located in the south east of the island close to the town of Dungarvan and is to be built in autumn 2014.

Since 2002, Nordex has installed a total of 138 turbines in Ireland with a capacity of 340 MW. 'This marks a very encouraging continuation of our performance in this country and vindicates our strategy of working closely with our local customers,' says Nordex Management Board member Lars Bondo Krogsgaard. With the projects currently under construction, Nordex will be boosting its total installed capacity in Ireland to over 500 MW.

About Nordex As one of the technological leaders in multi-megawatt wind power systems, Nordex is benefiting from the trend in favour of large-scale turbines. The Generation Gamma range comprises the N90/2500, N100/2500 and the N117/2400, which is one of the most efficient series turbines for non-coastal regions. To date, over 2,600 of these turbines have been produced. This experience with multi-megawatt turbines gives Nordex a decisive lead over most of its competitors. With Generation Delta, Nordex is now offering the fourth generation of its proven multi-megawatt platform (N100/3300, N117/3000, N131/3000). Nordex has installed a total of over 5,600 turbines with an aggregate capacity of around 9,400 MW all around the world. With exports accounting for more than 85 percent of its business, Nordex SE plays a key role in international high-growth regions. The Company has offices and subsidiaries in 22 countries around the world with a total global headcount of over 2,500 employees.

DGAP-News: USU Software AG / Key word(s): Product Launch New software version USU Valuemation for IT service management available

Mglingen, December 9, 2013.

The software house USU is now shipping the new Release 4.4 of its USU Valuemation product suite. It comprises many new features that make everyday work easier for IT organizations and their customers. The new version allows USU Valuemation to be used with mobile devices, for example during service callouts, or for process automation and handling tailored to requirements. Preconfigured processes complying with the BPMN standard enable now mass rollout or relocation of systems at a click. In addition, a message function means users groups can be supplied selectively with information, for example on a current major incident or an upcoming maintenance window. New wizards mean customer-specific adaptations are easier to implement and so speed up productive launch. USU Valuemation is an ITIL(R)-compliant, widely established standard software package. The various modules support all phases of the lifecycle in IT service management.

Mobile use of ticket and asset information For the first time, USU Valuemation 4.4 offers a mobile client for its users. Thanks to HTML5 technology, it is independent of the smartphone or tablet operating system used. It enables searching for assets or tickets or handling or resolution of incidents, for example.

Automated, simpler work processes Whether relocating systems, installing or deinstalling software or budget planning - the new release makes everyday work simpler in many places in business process management. On the basis of the BPMN standard, the use of preconfigured processes enables automated handling of workflows. Users can delegate tasks or change the person dealing with them flexibly with the Valuemation Business Process Manager.

Administering and displaying messages USU Valuemation Release 4.4 also allows messages to be defined and displayed. As a result, information on new features, changes or outages can be created, administered and issued to dedicated user groups. That ensures rapid, effective communication, for example in the event of major incidents or a release change.

Quick customizing New wizards ensure that customizing is far easier with Valuemation 4.4. The system helps customizers create relations and calculations, for instance. However, the installation process is also sped up noticeably by a wizard-aided installer that helps in installing the rich client and database, as well as in configuring web server files.

The Jameis Winston decision: Circuses, spotlights, and the end

After a day of press conferences, tomahawk chops, and general unprofessionalism, the Winston investigation comes to an end.

State Attorney Willie Meggs announced his decision not to indict Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston Thursday, concluding an investigation of the likely Heisman Trophy winner.

Meggs' decision set off a theater of absurdity, in which elected officials were cracking wise about sexual battery and Heisman Trophy voting, state senators and frat boys were sneaking into the background for moments of infamy, social media accounts of prominent broadcasters demonstrated some had lost their minds, and Florida State fans breathed a sigh of relief over the end of a case that never looked particularly strong to begin with.

It was hardly a surprise. Those reading the tea leaves on Wednesday thought an indictment was unlikely. By Thursday morning, Tomahawk Nation had obtained an unredacted version of the police report, and the holes in the prosecution's potential case against Winston were apparent:

Given the potential credibility issues presented by the contradicting stories given to police, and the lack of evidence of intoxication or so called "date rape" drugs in the complainant's system to perhaps explain the inconsistencies, the complainant's credibility could be an issue.

And sources indicate those issues, along with a lack of overall evidence, are compelling.

There are other factors pointing to charges not being brought, as well. Winston's attorney has indicated that he has two exculpatory eye-witnesses who gave affidavits to police. Tomahawk Nation has learned that neither witness' DNA was matched to the second DNA sample obtained from the complainant.
