On Jan. 20 around 1:05 p.m., authorities said, Reginald Hawkins and another person followed That Huu Le, 75, to the H-E-B parking lot in the 9800 block of Blackhawk Boulevard.

Police said a short altercation took place and Le was shot multiple times. Le was taken to an area hospital, where he died.

Hawkins was already in custody on an unrelated charge when he was charged with capital murder on Friday.

Tacori Mackrell, 18, and Robert Lee Smith Jr., 16, were charged with kidnapping and theft of property in the killing of 71-year-old Elvia Fragstein, according to the sheriff's office.

Police said Fragstein's body was found along a road Wednesday in rural Jefferson County. Authorities believe she was abducted from a T.J. Maxx store at the Conway Commons shopping center in Conway.

Covington County Undersheriff Lane McLaurin said 15-year-old Jamar Lamon Hayes, of Mount Olive, and 16-year-old Dontavis Shired Magee, of Gulfport, are charged as adults in the case.

He said an autopsy determined Doby died from blunt force trauma. Daquila said the death was then ruled a homicide. McLaurin said investigators later determined Doby was the victim of a robbery and assault.
