BRICK, NJ An Ocean County man has been indicted in the stabbing of a woman who was found injured in a parking lot off Cherry Quay Road in January, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

Harry J. Bray, 35, of Manchester, was indicted by an Ocean County grand jury on Wednesday on charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon, in the stabbing that happened Jan. 5, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

The woman, who had been ending a relationship with Bray, was found on the ground near a vehicle in the parking lot, the probable cause affidavit said. She had been stabbed multiple times.

Billhimer said a Brick Township police officer doing a routine check of the lot about 5:30 p.m. found her while investigating the vehicle, which had two flat tires.

The woman initially was taken to a hospital and was treated and released, but complications from her injuries resulted in her being readmitted to the hospital, he said.

Investigators determined Bray was the person who had stabbed her, through evidence found at the scene and information from the woman's family, and he was arrested later in the evening, Billhimer said. Read more: Woman Stabbed In Brick Was Ending Relationship, Mom Says: Affidavit
