10 Free Tools a Bootstrapping Startup Can Take Advantage Today

If youre a startup, you want things on the cheap. Cash flow isnt exactly plentiful. You need powerful tools that will deliver top notch results.just not big price tags. Soon will come the day when you can pay vendors and service providers tons of money, but today is not that day.

In the meantime, you need to be using these ten free tools.

1. Mailchimp -Every startup needs the power of an email list and an email marketing platform. But unless youre buying some massive list (not recommended) you need something that will give you email power through the lean times.

MailChimp to the rescue.

The free version of MailChimp is awesome. They even call it the Entrepreneur pricing model, with a respectful nod to people like us. MailChimp allow you to send up to 12,000 emails per month to a 2,000-member list without spending a penny. You wont get a lot of frills like autoresponder, email client testing, or time zone delivery, but startups arent used to frills anyway.

At some point, youre going to need a more robust email marketing approach. MailChimp may be your natural choice, once you cross that little 2,000 subscriber threshold.

2.Stride CRM -Why do I love Stride CRM? Let me count the ways.

First off, its free. Thats compelling enough for me. I love the way that Stride cuts through the clunk of many over-featured CRMs, and delivers full-bore functionality. Out of the box (dont worry, theres no box), its ready to go, and perfect for a startup environment that wants to get stuff done.

If youre daunted by the prospect of business management, Stride takes you by the hand and tells you that everythings going to be okay. Plus, it makes time-wasting meetings a thing of the past.

In case the price (free) doesnt compel you to use it, check out Strides features.
