Production workflow software provider vCreative has partnered with video creation platform Waymark to enable radio stations to sell and create digital video assets for local advertisers. The pact adds a digital video ad type to vCreatives workflow solutions, meaning sellers can manage a multi-platform campaign with similar efficiency to a purely broadcast creative request.

The companies say Waymarks AI-powered platform allows sellers, producers, sales assistants, and creative teams at a station or group to virtually create and edit original TV-quality digital video advertising and content in minutes.

As consumers continue to embrace various streaming services on their TV screens and mobile devices, local radio sellers are bringing new opportunities to their customers, said Susie Hedrick, CEO of vCreative. Radio account executives are trusted by their local advertisers to expand their marketing reach and Waymark opens the video advertising door for any advertiser, big or small.

Digital advertising and marketing services are becoming an increasingly important part of radios revenue mix. In an update to its local ad spending outlook for 2022, BIA Advisory Services said last month it anticipates local radio stations will generate $1.7 billion in revenue from their online activities. The figure does not include revenue from the national radio networks. In addition, OTT video sales are forecasted to grow over 57% across all local media in 2022, based on BIAs report.
