Awkward: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton share same pew at Bush funeral

The moment couldn't have been more awkward: Two fierce political rivals forced to share the same pew at the funeral of former President George H.W. Bush.

But that's how it played out Wednesday morning at the National Cathedral in Washington as President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger in the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton, sat just feet from each other.

Former Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were seated with their wives in the first pew when Trump and first lady Melania Trump arrived. After he's seated, a photo shows Trump exchanging a handshake with former first lady Michelle Obama while a few seats away, Hillary Clinton stares icily ahead.
