Hillary Clinton Asks for Film Recommendations, is Trolled …

Hillary Clinton's attempt to get movie recommendations from Twitter backfired when she was trolled with an array of Benghazi and Jeffrey Epstein references.

Clinton revealed on Twitter that she has tested positive for COVID and is suffering with "mild cold symptoms" but is "feeling fine."

While she's quarantining inside, the former First Lady asked her followers for movie recommendations, but received a mixed bag of genuine suggestions and conservative trolling.

Many Twitter followers brought up movies and documentaries to remind Clinton of the 2012 Benghazi attack and to her alleged links to Epstein.

After asking for movie suggestions while she rides out her bout of COVID-19, thousands of people replied to Clinton with earnest recommendations, including the official Netflix account.

And, many conservatives saw the opportunity to take a shot at the former Democratic Presidential candidate.

Dozens of people replied with the movie poster for the 2016 action film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi starring John Krasinski.

The Michael Bay movie is a biographical war flick following the soldiers of Annex Security Team who fought to defend the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2022.

Users like @Marquisdelaffy1 wrote simply "This is a good one" and @OneGoodMan77 wrote "Here's one for you." @BigSteve207 seemed to get in there first and received almost 1,500 likes for telling Clinton "You should watch "13 Hours"."

Other responses intended to troll Clinton referenced other aspects of her career. Conspiracy theories have previously linked the convicted sex offender Epstein with Bill and Hillary Clinton, with Ted Cruz referencing the rumors on Twitter as recently as last month.

Verified Twitter user @Mcshane_writes and user @wet_dad both left an image of the Netflix documentary series Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich underneath Clinton's recommendation. They both received over 100 likes for their jokes.

Republican author Buzz Patterson also gained attention for his response to Clinton's request for movies.

He told her to watch 2008 documentary Hillary the Movie, and to read the 1997 book, Dereliction of Duty: Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Lies That Led to Vietnam.

Right-wingers and right-leaning political commentators are bringing up the movie 13 Hours as it's based around the 2012 Benghazi attack, in which four Americans died.

As Secretary of State at the time, Clinton was accused of being responsible for the security lapses which led to the attack by a Libyan Islamic militant group.

While Hillary has tested positive for COVID-19, she confirmed that her husband, former President Bill Clinton has tested negative and is currently quarantining until the household is "fully in the clear."
