Hillary Clinton, Rand Paul: worst dressed

Remember when Mr. Blackwell ripped the worst-dressed celebrities and celebrated the best-dressed style setters? Roger Stone is carrying on the tradition, and he bashes with a tart snarkiness that Mr. Blackwell would have admired.

Topping the worst-dressed list for 2014 was Hillary Clinton. Stone observes that she "has no taste in clothing and no idea whatsoever what she looks good in." Wear darker colors, Stone advises.

Stone also goes after Rand Paul, like Clinton a possible presidential candidate in 2016. Stone complains that the Kentucky senator "dresses like a college student" and dismisses Paul's hair gel as "ghastly."

"To have a shot at being president, he has to begin dressing like one," Stone says.

Yet Stone sounds most distressed by Madonna, says the Material Girl has lost it and complains that a dental grille made her look like a ghoul. Bad, Madge, bad.

Other fashion washouts, in Stone's estimation, are Kanye West, lawyer David Boies, celebrity chef Guy Fieri, Bruce Jenner, Bono, Kesha and Taylor Swift ("a style train wreck" who "dresses like she got everything as a TJ Maxx 30 percent off sale").

Of course, that could inspire the "Shake It Off" songwriter to dash off another ditty. Then we'll have another song stuck in our head. And that would be another win for Swift.

Best-dressed celebrities for Stone include model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, former NFL star Shannon Sharpe, actress Uzo Aduba of "Orange Is the New Black," Prince Philip, actor Idris Elba, musician Mark Ronson, radio and TV host Mike Smerconish, actress Eva Green of "Penny Dreadful" and Daymond John of "Shark Tank." Stone even made room for Rep. Michael Grimm, R-N.Y., who is resigning after pleading guilty to felony tax fraud. "Pity that an orange jumpsuit might replace his well-cut suits soon enough," Stone writes.

But he can tell them in the Big House that he's a best-dressed celebrity.
