Underage in NYC? Here’s where to party

If you're under 21 in New York City, you may feel like you can't take part in all the city has to offer. Luckily, there are ways to ease the pain. From DIY venues to nightclubs with 18+ nights, you too can party 'til the break of dawn (or at least into the a.m. hours).

One of the original Greenwich Village hang-outs, Cafe Wha? is a must visit. Luckily, you don't have to be 21 on weeknights! On Monday through Thursday, you just need to meet a $20 minimum (food and non-alcoholic beverages are served) and you can enjoy live music in one of the city's most storied music halls. Bob Dylan used to play and hang out here (perhaps even some of his very first shows) and so did Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Woody Allen and Lenny Bruce.
