Arrests made in Kissimmee Walgreens burglary

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a pair of Orlando men in connection with the burglary of a Kissimmee Walgreens.

On Thursday at approximately 1:10 a.m., deputies responded to an alarm at the store located at 2900 Boggy Creek Road in Kissimmee and spoke with the store's security personnel who said they observed on surveillance video two suspects, later identified as Michael Murphy, 37, and Torrey Jernigan, 33, enter the store through the front door using what appeared to be a crow bar. The video showed the pair putting cigarettes and gift cards into a trash can and leaving the store with the trash can.

Deputies in the area located suspects matching their description and conducted a traffic stop. Numerous burglary tools and the stolen items were found in their vehicle. Based on the information, Jernigan and Murphy were arrested, charged with burglary and booked into the Osceola County Jail. The investigation is ongoing with additional charges pending.
