Kidnapping suspects sought in Old Dixie Hwy. incident

Police News Monday, 24 June 2013 11:16

Osceola County deputies are currently looking for three suspects involved in a kidnapping over the weekend along Old Dixie Highway.

The victim, who called the police early Saturday morning, was walking down the highway when a dark blue or black vehicle slowly approached him, Sheriff's spokesperson Twis Lizasuain said. Two of the three suspects got out of the vehicle and forced the victim inside. They tied rope around his neck, hands and feet and put something in his mouth to prevent him from talking. Twenty minutes later, they left the victim on the side of the road on Old Dixie Highway and Greenup Street. Another driver who saw him on the side of the road soon helped him.

The driver is described as a black male, with a light or medium complexion. Of the other two suspects, one is a 56 tall black male with a thick body frame and dark complexion, wearing dark shorts and short sleeve dark shirt with a white design. The other, also described as a black male, is 56 tall with a dark complexion, wearing dark pants with a gray jacket with white stripes down the sides.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
