Osceola County Sheriffs Detectives arrested a Poinciana man for possession of child pornography on Monday.

Elxio Rafael Colon, 41, of 905 Dartmouth Court in Poinciana, was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

Detectives began their investigation last August, when they received information of possible illegal activity on his network. As they investigated further, detectives discovered that Colon used the IP address to download pornographic movies involving children. They then obtained a search warrant on his residence this February, taking multiple computers and storage devices as evidence.

Colon cooperated with the investigation. He told detectives that he downloaded the videos out of curiosity but knew they were illegal. He also told them that he did not know any of the children depicted in the videos.

Colon was being held in the Osceola County jail on $150,000 bond.
