Kissimmee police were working a shooting early Wednesday morning that authorities said was unrelated to the rash of gunfire that has occurred in the city since last week.

According to Kissimmee police reports, officers responded to a Jessa Drive home in the Lakeside subdivision just after midnight, where a 22-year-old male was reportedly shot in the leg.

This was not a random shooting, one or more individuals inside the residence were targeted, said Kissimmee Police Department spokesman Stacie Miller in a press release.

The suspects were described as at least two black males dressed in all black clothing. The victim was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.

There have been 11 cases of random shooting incidents in the city of Kissimmee since last week. The Osceola County Sheriffs Office and the St. Cloud Police Department have received similar cases as well.
