QuBit Launches OpenTag Extension for Joomla

Tag management vendor enables developers to create new websites quickly and more efficiently

(PRWEB UK) 14 November 2012

The Joomla extension is designed to make life easier for developers when deploying a tag management solution on the Joomla Content Management System (CMS). The Joomla plugin can be used freely with OpenTag, which can be deployed as either a self-service or managed solution.

Similar to the OpenTag WordPress Plugin, the Joomla plugin allows the user to insert the OpenTag script in the administration configuration page without modifying the page template.

Graham Cooke, CEO of QuBit, said: Since day one weve been building our tag library to offer comprehensive support for a vast range of different online advertising, measurement and personalisation tools. The Joomla extension is the latest plugin to allow developers to implement the QuBit solution rapidly and efficiently into Joomla websites.

Martijn van Vreeden from analytics for Joomla said: The Joomla platform is freely available to everyone, making it the best content management system for developers building websites and online applications. Its ease-of-use has made Joomla one of the most popular pieces of website software available.

OpenTag is an Enterprise self-service tag management system, available as a free, open source product or as a low-cost hosted solution for larger website owners. OpenTag is already used by thousands of websites globally including FT.com, Virgin Active and Everest. Partners include Mediacom, TradeDoubler and Red Mud Media.

Joomla is one of the worlds most popular and fastest growing CMS platforms. The community maintained OpenTag extension for Joomla allows users to easily set up the OpenTag script in the administration configuration page.
