After firing three of his top aides over the last two months and facing questions on his competency for holding the office, first-term Osceola County Clerk of Court Armando Ramirez addressed the media himself for the first time Thursday at the Osceola County Courthouse.

He spoke briefly during the 30-minute press conference which he ended by saying, Im tired, there will be no more questions about his firings of Deputy Clerk Arthur Beau Osborne, Human Resources Director Marta Moczo-Santiago and Deputy Clerk Mary Rosado.

Flanked by his top advisors his director of information technology, director of finance and director of courts Ramirez said that the overriding issue of why those closest to him stay hired or are let go has to do with whether he trusts them.

This office is transparent. We are full of integrity in this office, and anyone who deviates from that will be dealt with, he said.

In Osbornes case, Ramirez said, a wall had gone up between the deputy clerk and the rest of the office.

I lost full confidence with him. I cant have employees working for me who I dont trust, he said.

In the case of Rosado, whose firing was announced Tuesday after her termination Monday, Ramirez said she had a longstanding negative track record in the office.

There were incidents even before I ran, he said. She also had health concerns that are exempted from public records laws so they werent shared.
