Detectives arrest 2 attempted kidnapping suspects

Two Kissimmee residents were arrested and charged with attempted armed kidnapping stemming from a Jan. 10 incident.

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested Josh Ian Belen-Pastrana, 19, of 2404 Cedarfield Lane, Kissimmee, and Michael Angelo Olivera, 19, of 800 Leeshore Court, Kissimmee.

Pastrana was charged with attempted armed kidnapping and Olivera was charged with attempted armed kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. They were booked into the Osceola County Jail.

On Jan. 10 at about 9:05 p.m., deputies responded to Publix Supermarket located at 2338 E. U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who said he left his Knightsbridge Boulevard home in the Remington subdivision when he observed two unknown males waving him down at the intersection of Knightsbridge Boulevard and Owenshire Circle. The victim agreed to give the males a ride to Publix, but when he parked the car one of men sitting behind him pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim's head. The victim began honking his horn and the suspects left the area. The victim was not injured during the incident.
