Convention 2019 - November 2, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PMThis issue ofBulletinprovides a look at the plans for the 2019 Convention to be held in Ajax, east of Toronto. We expect to run a Leadership contest prior to the Convention.A number of amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws are presented in this issue for your consideration. Some are a result of our experience during the 2018 election and others are to keep up with changes in our environment.These (and possibly others) will be voted on at the Convention.

Also in this issue, the Party made a showing at the 420 Rally in support of marijuana(on April20thof course), handing out Bic lighters with our logo. Keith Komar, our new Treasurer, was invited to speak and his speech is included in this issue.

Leader Rob Ferguson reports on changes to the Executive Committee and other activities within the Party.

Jacques Boudreau, Member at Large and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, raises the alarm about 'unfunded liabilities' not included in the government's calculation of deficits and debt. He is concerned the special interest groups that complain about Doug Ford's cuts are living in a fairy tale and need to rejoins the real world and join us in demanding government be radically reduced.

Politicians get elected by catering to Special Interest Groups. Jim McIntosh points out that these groups are living in a fairyland because they believethe purpose of government is to help people and government must spend more, not less.

Cindy Davidson argues that Free Market Environmentalism could offer an alternative solution to flood management while respects property rights.
