Presidents Message, Welcome to NSA Connecticut

As president of the National Speakers Association Connecticut I am thrilled to be able to work with an exciting, active, team that is looking forward to a year of innovation, and increasing support for Connecticut based professional speakers as well as those who are preparing to join our ranks. In working to bring you the support, collaboration, and a community you want to be a part of, we have created a schedule of large community meetings where both members and guests are most welcome. Our objectives for those meetings are to enhance the community, generate productive networking, and through guest speakers, to teach the skills necessary for a successful and enriching speaking business.

In addition, we have created a diversified schedule of meetings which are for members only:

Beginning in September there will be a virtual mastermind group, hosted by Wally Hauck, PhD, CSP, through https://zoom.us/ with the purpose of helping each of us overcome challenges with group synergy and/or with tested methods and certainly faster than we could on our own.

In October we begin a series of breakfast meetings, and you are invited to attend one or all of them although they are limited to 8 people each so sign up early. Each meeting will focus on one topic such a Back of the Room Sales, Your Speaking goals for 2016, and Masterminding Your Business. Although skills are developed a great element of these meetings is the enhanced opportunity to have more in-depth conversations, to deepen community, and for each of us to share our natural resources with fellow members.

All of our board members are here to support you, share with you, and bring the excitement of your speaking alive and ready for whatever your future holds. If you are a professional speaker or want to become one, we are the place to be in Connecticut.
