Change inevitable in Kaduna, says el-Rufai

Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Nasir el-Rufai

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, said on Monday that change was inevitable in the state next month.

El-Rufai stated this in the ancient town of Zaria as he rounded up his campaign in the northern part of state.

The APC candidate was warmly received by a surging crowd at the Zazzau Emirate.

El-Rufai, overwhelmed by the turn-out of supporters, said the significance of the crowd that ushered him into the Zaria city meant that the people approve that change was inevitable and that a new dawn beckons.

He said, It is almighty God that gives power and we are seeking for this power from Him and the people of Kaduna State. So dont fight anyone, dont abuse anyone, dont blackmail or insult people because of political differences.

Dont abuse peoples parents, instead respect them because they are also our own parents and we hold them in high esteem.

Dont return violence for violence; dont destroy peoples posters, billboards and properties because they did same.

The ex-minister, who was accompanied by hundreds of APC leaders, said the move for change was justified by failed leadership of the state by the Peoples Democratic Party-led government.

According to him, Kaduna is in dire need of a competent and capable sailor and crew to sail the state out of storm.
