The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, says continued progress and development of the state should be of major concern to Lagosians.

He added that there was no need for the residents to experiment with the Peoples Democratic Party as the APC had done well.

Ambode explained that if allowed in Lagos, the PDP would only replicate bad governance it had been displaying at the federal level.

The governorship candidate spoke on Monday at the APC campaign rally in the Ojo Local Government Area.

He said, The continued progress and development of Lagos is the major concern of our party and that is why we will not allow PDP to win the state because they will disrupt the continuity of good governance in Lagos.

I have learnt good governance from Bola Tinubu and our Governor, Babatunde Fashola, for 15 years. The state needs a financial wizard like me to manage its economy.

Ambode told the audience that he served as a former auditor general of the local government and later, of the state. He added that a competent financial manager like him would move the state forward.

He said he had a wealth of experience on how to run the state successfully and as such, was better prepared for the governorship job.

He said, Continuity of good governance is the watch word of our campaign. We will build another general hospital in the Ojo area of the state and complete the on going light rail project and the expansion of the Lagos- Badagry Expressway.
