Sunday shows preview: Republicans tout healthcare vote | TheHill – The Hill

The White House scored its first major legislative victory in the House this week with the passage of a GOP plan to repeal large parts of the Affordable Care Act.

But the win on Thursday is only the first step toward fulfilling President Trump's campaign promise to do away with his predecessor's signature healthcare law. Now the bill is off to the Senate, where some Republicans have indicated they will simply vote on their own healthcare measure.

Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, the man tapped by Trump to help lead his administration's effort to repeal ObamaCare, is set to appear on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday to talk about what's next for the GOP's amended bill, dubbed the American Health Care Act.

Likewise, Speaker Paul RyanPaul RyanSunday shows preview: Republicans tout healthcare vote Ryan pictured with man wearing repeal and go f--- yourself shirt Maher on healthcare bill: GOP told Jimmy Kimmel's baby: Go screw yourself MORE (R-Wis.) will be on CBS's "Face the Nation" to tout his party's Thursday victory after the first version of the AHCA was pulled before a scheduled vote in March because of dwindling Republican support.

Also appearing on the Sunday show circuit this week is Trump's former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

Lewandowski this week left Avenue Strategies, the political consulting firm he founded shortly after the November election.

Since starting the firm in December, Lewandowski has faced accusations that he was using his relationship with Trump to peddle access to the Oval Office. He has also been accused of taking part in lobbying activities without ever registering as a lobbyist.

Lewandowski is set to appear on Fox News' "MediaBuzz" on Sunday.
