Schumer on Second Amendment: "No Amendment Is Absolute, You Can’t Falsely Scream Fire In A Crowded Theater" – RealClearPolitics

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he believes there is a right to bear arms but there are "reasonable limitations" at a press briefing on Tuesday.QUESTION: Senator, the Second Amendment is people have the right to keep and bear arms. Do you think the Constitution should be amended to remove it?

CHUCK SCHUMER: No, I think this; no amendment is absolute. You can't falsely scream fire in a crowded theater. We have child -- anti child -- anti-pornography laws directed at children. We have libel laws. Those are all limitations on the First Amendment. I believe in the Second Amendment. I believe there's a right to bear arms, but there are reasonable limitations.

The Brady Law, the Assault Weapon Ban, among them. Thank you, everybody.
