(Twitter) 'Shopping King Louis' stars Seo In Guk (L) and Nam Ji Hyun (R).

Seo In Guk, who recently starred as Kang Ji Sung in MBCs Shopping King Louis, updated his fans on his current medical examination situation. He recently took a medical re-examination to see whether or not he is fit for mandatory military service.

Seo In Guk received a medical reevaluation at the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration office, Seos management agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, said in a statement obtained by Korean newsoutlet Sports Chosun, as cited by Soompi. He received his general physical examination that day, but he also received notice that he needs a more thorough medical exam.

According to Jellyfish Entertainment, Seo plans to undergo more in-depth health examination at the Central Physical Examination Center of Military Manpower Administration (MMA) office on June 5.

On March 28, the 29-year-old singer-turned-actor entered Yeoncheon County's 5th division in Gyeonggi Province, where he will receive basic military training for around four weeks. After just four days, he was ordered to take his leave due to an osteochondral lesion on his left ankle.

While the MMA is aware of the injury before Seo entered the training camp, the exact condition of the injured area was only confirmed after further medical examination. Hence, he has been receiving daily medications amid the training until the authority decided to discharge him. Since then, he continues to look into his possible re-entry into the military.

In other news, Seos Reply 1997 co-star Lee Si Eon recently shared the story behind the hit 2012 drama. In the latest episode of KBS Worlds Happy Together, Lee admitted he initially thought the 16-episode drama would flop because of the lead stars Seo and Apinks Eunji.

"At first, I wasn't going to go on the drama because I heard the leads are Seo In Guk and Eunji, Lee revealed. It was Seo In Guk's first drama and I didn't even know who Eunji was."

Fortunately, Reply 1997 has earned acclaim from audiences and critics for its refreshing and well-researched storyline.
