The Making of Dom #39;s Juke Box Theme
Dom #39;s Juke Joint is were I share my passion of guitar playing, building and repair. In this episode, I share takes from the making of my intro theme song. The pickup are custom made by Dominique "Dom" Johnson and wired on a Seymour Duncan Triple Shot. They are based on the Lindy Fralin designed umbucker pickup, where the coils have an uneven output. The neck output is 11.47k (7.09k adj / 4.38 slug) and the Bridge is 12.62k (7.78k adj / 4.48 slug) with 4 conductor wire. They have been very lightly waxed for a more classic sound with some reduced microphonics. The pickups are extremely dymanic, response to pick attack, individual style, and volume; providing clarity and note separation even at high gain volume.
