US senate candidate mike rounds receives more support today from the far right.

California based group Tea Party Express officially announces their support of rounds for the open senate seat, recently vacated by democrat Tim Johnson. Tea party express tours the nation showing support of candidates that best represent conservative values. The group also says this is one of the more important races for republicans, in their attempt to seat a majority of republicans in the senate for this mid-term election.

"The entire conservative movement has been rallying around Governor Mike Rounds this past week and month in support of him. He's really galvanized the conservative movement and people are coming out and supporting him and he's had a lot of great events and a lot of great people coming in," says Tea Party Express Executive Director Taylor Budowich.

"We've been very pleased to accept the endorsement of the Tea Party Express. We've been visiting with them for over a year and we've been visiting with them about this possibility and they indicated that they would do it at whatever point was appropriate. So we accept it, we heartedly accept it. I think this is a marvelous occasion in Rapid City to discuss it and open it up to people who truly feel strongly about the conservative values that made this country great," says Mike Rounds.
